I was in high school from 86-90, from freshman year on I was ok'd to see bands play in San Francisco. I had seen Love and rockets a bunch of times. They were amazing. Any one remember seeing the giant Bees dancing on stage along with Love and Rockets?

They are one of my favorite bands of all time. I saw Jane's Addiction open FOR THEM at U.C. Irvine Bren Events Center back in 1987. 7th Dream and Express are 2 of the greatest albums from the mid-80s by anybody, IMO. They were extremely prolific during the 80s. Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, Love and Rockets, The Bubblemen E.P., solo albums by David J and Daniel Ash, and all of it was brilliant. Wait. I almost forgot to mention Peter Murphy, the front man for Bauhaus. His solo career was also quite remarkable.

Oh man me too I saw them on that same tour in 87 at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester NY my friend who ran the club said Janes was the biggest bunch of freaks he ever encountered so they became my forever favorite band but Love n Rockets your post nailed it so innovative to this day

i saw them at a Jane's gig in Nottingham... i was wearing a love and rockets tshirt I had painted.... the eponymous love and rockets album cover.. but inverted... black on white.. .... They were confused.... and asked me where i got the tshirt.... and were pleasantly surprised. And.... the gig was one of the best ever.. Jane's Addiction man.

Every album of them are great! Even the last one, lift, with that out of fashion mixture between rock and acid house thing has remarkable songs such as deep deep down

The videos for Ball of Confusion and So Alive were both in heavy rotation on Much Music, here in 🇨🇦, back in the day.

I remember them from their fourth album, the self-titled Love and Rockets. I liked So Alive, but I like Bound for Hell as well.

Their first 4 albums were all released on vinyl (cd & cassette too), the last being the self titled 1989 album that went gold in the USA with "So Alive" being a hit. Records were being released on all three formats by the end of the 80s. I have all their albums & saw them in concert in the 80s and 90s. A great band. Only Siouxsie played at the Cruel World Festival, the band broke up decades ago. She put out one solo album in 2007.

I’ve told my friends over the years you could hear a distinct Beatles influence from the back half of Beatles. Love & Rockets one of my favorite bands and also I feel underrated and under appreciated. Brilliant band. Great video 🙏🏻

I only remember "So Alive", a big hit for them. And their cover of The Temptations' "Ball Of Confusion". From watching music videos back then.
