This whole situation breaks my heart. How could anyone possibly do this to their children.
It's awful. Lori would rather kill JJ than to let the Woodcocks have him. Because she was mad about Charles making Kay Woodcock his beneficiary to his life insurance policy. Completely out of spite. It's heartbreaking.
Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. If she did participate in the killings, I wonder what precipitated the change.

After what they've just witnessed in court Larry and Kay need all our love right now. Even the jurors cried. No wonder Lori didn't want to remain in the courtroom.

Fact that Lori did not go to Charles memorial service shows that she was complicit in his death I believe that 100% and I hope that somehow they could investigate it although everybody’s dead that was there except Lori
Also she probably learned beforehand that he'd changed the insurance policy so perhaps she didn't attend out of spite but maybe she never intended to be there.
I thought the same exact thing when Kay said that. I didn't realize Lori didn't go
And also Tammy Daybell. I was surprised the prosecuting attorney cut off Mrs. Woodcock just as she was explaining that Lori ordered the wedding clothes and wedding bands BEFORE Tammy Daybell died.

The notion that Lori Vallow was ok before she met Chad Daybell is WRONG! Her previous husband was killed by her brother and she is on camera chuckling and flirting with the cop at the scene with her dead husband in the house!!! Judge Ashley is on the right track thinking that Lori is the prime mover in these murders. She is sociopathic and gets other people, even her brother, to do her dirty work. If she was so good before Chad, why the video showing her devoid of empathy for a dead husband at the hands of her brother. Chad is a dunce. His "books" are self published. I hear nothing about an actual congregation. When Lori saw how smitten he was with her, she had her next proxy. He was dumb enough to submit to his own impulses and delusions. They are both guilty of first degree murder.
She and her brother were "close", at least in that there was inappropriate touching. He referred to her as "hot". Freaky family with unnatural sexual boundaries.

I agree with you. I think she was driving the Jeep, so to speak, the entire time. Good grief 5 dead husbands. She must be some kind of master manipulator and I think she poisoned her brother too. She didn’t have any psychotic brake and the only cult she was powerless too was greed and all attention on her. She is for sure a psychopath. Too bad she is not getting the death penalty. May prison be misery day in and day out.

Edit: It's being reported now by outlets who were there that she showed no emotion whatsoever during testimony or grisly photos. It was only after she returned from recess that she started to "break down." Probably her lawyers telling her it wouldn't hurt to show a little bit of sadness here. Idaho apparently has a process that allows defendants to miss some parts of their trial (that's nuts IMO) and she actually requested this but the judge denied her.
Let her follow the proper protocol and NOT show up tomorrow. I'd love to see how kindly the jury takes to a woman who can't even be bother to show up to face charges of butchering her children and throwing them into a hole dug in the dirt of her BFs backyard like trash.

Is it possible that the judge decided not to televise the trial because the crime scenes were so horrible and he didn't want everyone to be exposed to seeing the photos? But I guess they could have blanked out those scenes. I think this should have been televised. People need to be able to access this information first hand..not through just the dialogue. Thank goodness Kay and her husband are extremely intelligent and would not let any of this BS get past them and had the police investigate to look for the missing children.
No, The Judge decided that it would not be televised after the incident where the cameras kept zooming in and out on Lori's face... the defense had a huge problem with that. It was argued in court (which was televised) by the defense, prosecution, & the guy who was there representing the networks wanting to televise it... that's what started the whole stink about it being televised before that, all hearings, and the pre-trial were televised.

Because the judge granted defenses motion to ban cameras in the courtroom And the state filed a response agreeing with their motion. Both sides said the media is impeding on Daybell's right to a fair trial. Defense attorney said having cameras on the court room makes Lori have to "prove her innocence instead of the state having to prove her guilty.". Also they cited the media's improper behavior at past hearings in this case
@@theresamorrison2638 exactly, it was really after a hearing where one of the channels/streamers kept zooming in and out on her face. Her defense really went in after that, I think the prosecution agreed because they did not want ANYTHING to hinder this trial.

I’ll never understand this. Lori seemed like a good person and good mom, living a good life. Of course we don’t know these people, but from the testimony I’ve heard, most people say Lori was a good person and people had a good opinion of her. How in the world did things take such a sad, horrific turn. Defense must be going with an insanity plea.

The defense brought up the witness' religious beliefs just to try and make her look crazy and therefore unreliable.
