For a costume in a pinch or for those who can't assemble costumes themselves, it looks really good. For someone who has sewing skills, taking it in or Frankensteining it shouldn't be too hard either. I think I would look into purchasing something from them if I was gonna put together a costume that was out of my skill range or had too many pieces to make without going insane.
I know some people might think that honest reviews or someone being critical of the items that they get for reviewing might scare away potential buyers, but I would have never considered this company without this video. I'm new to costume-making and would like to start with a mixture of putting together things from scratch AND refurbishing other costumes to my liking, relying on the pictures of the costumes on the websites doesn't always work out so it is really nice to see candid reviews like these. 😁😁 This comment is really out of the blue since I'm primarily a silent subscriber.

Thank you for your input! And i do plan on altering this costume to better fit myself and look better. Which will also help a lot of new cosplayers out so if you want to put awe a costume I'll show you how to make it better and fit you!

Are you planning on customizing it at all to make it better and more wearable? Cause I'd love to see that process! Honestly, I agree with you in that it's not that bad of a store bought cosplay. At least the material isn't that shiny, non-stretchy stuff so many store bought cosplays seem to be made of.

I do plan on totally customizing it! Fitting it better for my size and making new armor out of foam and worbla. However i don't know when, probably not until i plan on wearing it to a con

+The amazing Person i have a few. My honey lemon armor tutorials use both methods. And my hawk girl armor tutorials go over how i use worbla to make armor

For anyone with the cream problem, a tub of water with a bit of white acrylic paint and white fabric paint will turn it bright white. Also princess gloves off Amazon if they give you weird gloves. (Mine couldn't fit a three year old.) And as for the socks, I found that you could cut the rubber band off and use fabric tape. But with so many alterations needed, I'd spend a little extra money. You pay $80 for it, then it needs $50 in alterations, you may as well pay the $100 for a really good one. (Considering I had to get 2, and I'm still not satisfied. And yes, 2 Asuna Cosplays.)

I would love to see you worbla up that armour, or foam it up, to give it structure that it is sadly missing. Use your talents with sewing and let's see some side by side shots. I bet you can get it just how you want it.

I actually ordered from this company twice, one was amazon but Xcoser sent me the costume(Xcoser packaging and tags). The first one was the Natsu(Fairy Tail)Costume, and honestly I was in love with the costume, I got plenty of compliments on it and such. The next cosplay I got from them was a Sailor Venus cosplay, I was honestly a little disappointed because of the difference between the Natsu costume I got and the Sailor Venus, but that one I got for free since I submitted a a review. But I've never had any real negative experience with them, and I guess you can't complain much when you do get a costume for free.
I honestly think that the company is a hit and miss. Theres a cosplayer called Kinaptsu cosplay and she reviewed a Super Sonico costume from that website and she actually really liked it, and It actually looked like Sonico's outfit she wears in the anime. I think the copmany is pretty good for their price, but I think there are better companies out there, I just never had a real bad experience with Xcoser.

Most of it looks pretty good. The things that need fixing are relatively minor. 130.00 for what's essentially an inaccurate costume is a bit steep. Perhaps if one could pick an option to not include pieces of a costume and adjust price accordingly.

I bought I different Asuna costume where the chest, and other vinyl places were creme as well, so I spray painted them a brilliant white which made them more true to the anime. My skirt was also long, so I rolled it once and it was short enough. (Granted, I am 5'1 so I am short!)

As well as, my costume was only about 70$ and I feel looks better in some ways than her's. Here's the link:

I plan on buying the same one as you did, do you mind telling me what size you picked? I'm also 5'1" so I'm just curious lol. Also, sorry to bother you with this 2 years later 😂

Honestly, when I bought my Asuna cosplay (the only one I have and ever probably Will buy) I didn't wear the breastplate with it and I think it made the not-so-good quality of the cosplay look better. But even though it wasn't the /best/ quality, you still look really good as Asuna! ^.^

wow I buy my cosplay from online stores and that looks really dodgy, as you said if the colours worked better like not cream against white it would look better

+Karla c: you can buy them on many different websites, if you want them relatively cheap you can get them on eBay or Amazon but you can try websites like hellocosplay UK, ezcosplay.com, cosplaystation.com, fucosplay.com, cosplay house.com, hope that's helpful :)

I know it's good for people who can't afford to make their own, and I'd NEVER look down upon someone, or hate them if they brought their costume, as I brought my Loki outfit! But this is why I'd never buy a costume, unless if it was little parts of it, as the measurements wont be exact which sucks, or it could be missing very important details or be the wrong colour! D:
At least yours was free though!

+Managa101 I'm looking at their site now, and it everything seem pretty pricy to me. Maybe I'm just a cheap person, but I'd never pay more than $30-40 for a costume.

I was looking at this website, and I noticed that for a 707 jacket from Mystic Messenger it's 999$!? I made one out of a pullover hoodie, a zipper from Wal-Mart, and a bit of yellow fabric for 89 cents. Mine cost about 5 dollars. The one on the website is so expensive I died a bit inside.
