What about the solid q?
Not the ball cage 😭😭😭
Love the ball cage, recently upgraded to a titanium one
😂😂😂@@GuiltyMelly
My first (of several) Spydercos was the Manix 2 LW then a month later a Manix 2 which I replaced the stainless steel ball with a ceramic one, as well as a titanium cage and a lighter spring. Next was a set of carbon fiber scales.
Spent way more that I expected but such a great project and a wonderful knife.
Is your blade centered?
I can swear by the paramilitary 2. Friend gifted me one years ago and it's the only knife I've ever personally recommended to anyone.
...and, unless you intend on stabbing/piercing with it, I highly recommend dulling the tip a bit 😅
All amazing knives with great steel!
the best for me is tenacious/resilience ltw with s35vn, not too pricy with my favourite steel
I have 2 of the 4, excellent knives!!! I’m amazed the Endura 4 didn’t make the list.
The PARA 3 Lightweight in s90v .....HELLO!
I love LOVE spydies. Great user knives that are highly functional. Only thing they can get a little vanilla, also they are like the Glock of the knife world, and I love Glock as well.
I love spyderco I have owned my first one way back in 1980. I have several and now I need to REALLY save up for my next one!
In the past few years prices and steel choices have gone up up up!
It’s crazy how may knives I own yet my day to day is always a spyderco!
YUP! I have the PM2 S90V, Delica 4 K390, Manix 2 and Native 5 in Cruwear . Add a Stretch 2 K390, are all my daily keepers 🤙🏻
I recently cut into my first Tenacious knife. I cut a gap to the right of the spider that tapers into the circle and there’s a hook left that mimics the Matriarch 2 blade pick pocket feature, it works so perfectly 😂
Just got my first Spyderco at the factory in Golden Colorado when I was on vacation
Any proof of this?
Only problem with the factory outlet is you pay full price, all the time.
@@M60gunner1971😂😂😂
Love my Spy27 Manix. One of my favorites.
Me too! I think that’s the best EDC. I don’t know why they love the Delica so much here. Any knife that you need 2 hands to close is not a good edc sorry
@@ActivitiesWithHunter definitely. Both the Manix & PM2 make the best EDC blades IMO. Delicas are good knives, but I’ll take anything with a ball lock or compression lock any day. 🍻
@@ActivitiesWithHunter You can push the backlock down and shake it down enough to close one handed 👍🏻
I have a Native 5 in REX45 steel!! Best knife I ever owned
The price was so good on those. At the time I was on a buying spree🫣 I bought 6 Rex45 native’s. 3 dlc and 3 satin. Have one of the satin ones too my brother for Xmas. Have the m4 ones and many more. Great model for sure 👍🏻
I have 5 PM2's and just got my 2nd Manix 2.
Y'all sleeping on that Para 3. I really love it because it feels like an EDC friendlier version of the PM2. But Spyderco sure does deliver on most of their models.
I was honestly mad when I heard the Para 3 was going to be a smaller PM2 because for years I wanted a larger PM2 (and now it's out with the Military 2) but once I tried a Para 3 Lightweight in M4 i think it's probably the best overall EDC knife I've used and I've tried most offerings from Spyderco, Benchmade and Chris Reeve.
Got my mint green delica. Love it. Now, let’s get a mint green chaparral and dragonfly going. with black coated blade. I’ll buy two of each.
I'm a huge simp for the C26 snapit. I've had mine forever and put it though the most unholy, pure stupid abuse, and its always worked for me. The blade might be a bit small, but I love having a finger grove on the blade on a folder, I can trust the lock no matter what, just because I can put most pressure on the blade with my pointer finger.
Its so nice to hold too, you can keep your pointer finger on the blade grove, far higher than the rest of your fingers, and your thumb on the back of the blade.
It might just be because I'm so attatched to it, but IMO its one of the best EDC spydercos out there
I got my first spyderco years ago, I rarely need to sharpen it and its been dropped so many times yet hasnt chipped or broke. I forget the name of it sadly but its reliable
The native 5 is one of the most underrated Spydercos in this short.
Para 2 tanto is one of my favorites. Good luck finding one though.
I like the spyderco stretch 2 XL folding knife
Shaman and Para 3 make the cut
Just got all these except the pm2. I like my stretch and endura better. 💯
Scratch that got my pm2 in cruwear and g10 purple scales and it's my favorite one now 😆
I ordered the mint Delica with M4 blade back in July but you guys sent me a factory second & I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back.
All amazing. But all you really need to know about is the Manix II. My favorite knife since it was originally released, and I've found no equal (believe me I have a tub full of knives 😂).
Spyderco Swick 5... look it up. Best EDC Personal defense knife out there.
Love my spydercos
I own all of those but carry the new Polstar in BD1N the most. Its a mini Military, not like the PM2 which feels different due to the thickness and comp lock, the Polestar feels like a Military.
You had me at ball cage.
Ive got the PM2, but i like the manex
Oddly enough, I have versions of each of those: PM2 OD green G-10 w/ K390 blade, Delica 4 Wharncliffe w/ K390 blade, Manix 2 blue G-10 w/ S110V blade, 2 × Native 5 (Rex45 and Magnacut blades). They're all well made knives. Surprisingly enough, my D4 gets the most pocket time due to the blade profile and outstanding steel. The Manix 2 is probably my least favorite: it's a pocket hog with steel that's prone to micro chipping.
S90v does everything better than s110v, except for corrosion resistance maybe, I have 2 exclusives, native 5 and a pm2 in s90v… it’s a dream to use.
Phew.. I was nervous you'd name a knife I don't already own, and I'd have to go buy one. Good thing I got all 4
The delica was the first nice knife I ever bought and was my favorite
sadly lost it years ago but its fine cause I just bought the civilian 🤙
Hey yall, remember that these are the more premium (expensive) ones. The tenacious is a rediciulously good starter EDC blade at the entry level. My first spyderco was the resilience, then pm2 after. Now i have a small collection of them, great knives.
I don't know wich Spiderco i am going to buy ..? The Manix or the Parra 2 or 3. And full size or lihht weight ..? It's cool there is many choices. But it's hard to choose ..! For my first one. I think i am going to get a full size. And the Parra 3 are the last one of them. But it's the most expensive to ..!
Sage 5 should have taken one of these spots for sure 😂 compression lock beats back lock native every time
100%
From what I’ve seen, back lock isn’t that weak.
@@mattwalters6834 ? it's actually stronger. The backlock is 2.5x stronger than the compression and the cold steel tri-ad (modified backlock) is almost 3x as strong as a regular backlock. Backlock outperforms almost every other lock type for strength on the market.
@@escapetherace1943 interesting
Delica really needs an upgrade
Backspacer in metal and wire clip
I just learned Spyderco is from the same small town I spent most of my life in for two years. Wish I could have come across it when I was there.
They're nice but the best is missing: Para3
A manix 2 with a lynch clip and a titanium ball cage has been my daily for years
The fact that you can make a "4 best Spyderco knives" list and not include the Smock, is mind blowing. No matter how many knives I buy, I always end up back at the Smock.
Don't mock his Smock.
PM3, Smock, Shaman, Native 5 Salt 👍🏽
I got the manix xl it’s kinda big but i like it
Tenacious is a great edc. 8cr13mov, G10 scales, great price 🕷
Would get tenacious, but it’s made in China. There’s other similar Spyderco options not made in China for a little more money
That’s the great thing about the tenacious though it’s so cheap for such a great knife I’ve had mine as an edc for nearly 4 years now and it’s holding up great
@@user-od9fz2fd7l I read before that the chinese Spyderco factory is held to the same production standards as the domestic one. It's only outsourced to cut costs and make an affordable knife
@@isaacmoore2792 sadly I lost mine about 5 years ago but I edc'd mine for years as well zero complaints
@@isaacmoore2792 it's also aesthetically one of spyderco's best knives, in my opinion. The all black tenacious is nice and even though it's 8cr it outperforms generic chinese 9cr
Para 3, Sage, Slysz Bowie, Chaparral, Shaman
Can you give me some recommendations on a good EDC fixed blade? I would like something I can attach to my belt. Thank you, love your channel!
Love all of em 💯😍🤩😁😊😉
I went in a pawn shop and they had a brand new Delica 4 in VG-10 blade steel with zome green scales for $80. I got a $126 knife for $87 after tax. I’m very satisfied with that purchase.
I like the native.
Thanks for the awesome video try to help us by mentioning the price next time My friend
I've noticed that if I have to ask, I probably can't afford it. 😢
I have a delica in h2 and an endura in k390 (my work knife)
Have both the native and delica. Need a pm3 next
Can you only edc 3" blades in your area? Just wondering because of your knife choices.
@@KINGACE9 nope I'm in Georgia. Not many knife laws here
Just got my first Spyderco today and it’s an Endela 👍🏼
Love me a ball cage
Endura 4 the Best!
Endura vs Delica?
You missed the most practical spyderco small knife - the Squeak! Small enough to fit in the watch pocket on your jeans with a deep pocket clip, big enough to be really useful... And UK carry legal too.
The roadie is great too tiny 50 dollar slip joint
@@caseytyler8326 I like my spyderco clipitool too - inexpensive, practical, and unintimidating for "suit jacket" occasions.
Why does the delica in your video have cpm steel and the one I'm looking at online is vg10?
You can get same models with different metals in some cases. Look up a model with the steel you want and see if it comes up
stretch 2 in k390 belongs on this list.
My native 5 salt doesn’t flick. Even if I loosen the piss out of the screws. Slow roll only.
I took my Rex45 Native 5 apart, polished the washers and mating surface of the lock bar with Mother's Mag and Wheel Polish. It smoothed the action considerably. Both that and my Magnacut Native 5 Salt smoothed out with use and fidgeting over about two weeks. Both will thumb flick now but won't Spydie flick - good enough for me.
I took the similar action as Crusty, Plus almost straighten the lock back spring bar using a vise. able to reverse flick my Native five with slight wrist action 😊
I was suprised to find out a native is a mini shaman
how the hell do you open it with the hole-flick? I just can't get it done
How can you leave out the para3
Manix 2 for me
How to sharpen Spyderco serrated?
Im thinking of buying the delica but im not sure if its worth it. Is it?
Absolutely! It's a great knife, and the one in the video is even on sale right now!
Definitely worth it. Great edc choice.
Yeah consider which steel you want too tons of flavors blue steel is a great choice or k110 20cv lots of options
Delica is an outstanding pocket knife, however, if you want something that competes with the durability and utility, not to mention the test of time like your grand daddies case, buy the PM2.
I love my K390 Wharncliffe Delica, it's thin, flat and tough enough to handle whatever I throw at it, all for a reasonable price. If you go with a high carbon tool steel blade (K390, M4, etc) be prepared to do regular, light maintenance to avoid corrosion: wipe it off after use (finger prints can become permanent), oil the blade once in awhile, things like that. I've been carrying mine almost exclusively since I got it.
should be called. i drive a cyber trunk but ill fight binden for kids
The spyderco ball bearing lock is the only lock from spyderco i dont like because it’s the only spyderco lock that has failed me. Back lock is my favorite.
Not a big fan of the compression lock on the back
Drunken, Kapara, Spydiechef, Para 3.
Coldsteel!
ball cage?
Man I love the Police so much. So big but so carryable.
Native 5 is nice ...
❤Spyderco
Bro left out the Bradley Bowie 😤
Bro opens them hard asf like damn bro they ain’t otfs
Love it
A classic brand
Dawm, look at that wide boi!
People are sleeping on the new leafjumper in K390... just sayin.
Absolutely
I have all 4
And then some!
Haha he said ball cage
The Delica Gen 1 back in the early 90’s was my first Spyderco, but it’s not in my top 4. The Manix 2 is a fantastic knife, but a pocket hog. My top 4 in no particular order are the Native 5, Sage series, Para3 & PM2.
You need to do one on the ugliest knives. My vote goes to Spyderco folders. They came out with a couple nice fixed blades but I can’t afford them. Some of these newer knives from others are giving Spyderco a run for their money on ugly. These new cleaver type blades might work for a cook or a carpet layer or someone else making long cuts. For me they are useless. Course I’m an old fart. I grew up using a knife cutting bale twine, burs out of manes and tails, cleaning stones out of hooves and cut rope. Sometimes my knife got used for castrating. It was usually the sharpest. As a diesel mechanic I used a knife to cut belts and scrape gaskets off.
Which knife would be your top pick
Yes! They should definitely do an “ugliest knives” video. Spyderco would be at or near the top. As would that horrible mermaid knife they constantly promote.
@@Gio151 the mermaid knife I think beats them all, even Spyderco.
@@AffordableArmory yea, forgot the mermaid knife.
All those things you described would be great tasks for a cleaver folder. My grandad carried a Case slipjoint for longer than I was alive and did many of the things you mentioned. The thing is while he kept it sharp, he only ever used the spey blade and the point was duller than me. You don't need a pointy knife for farm tasks.
Sad the tenacious isn't listed
Cant decide between the delica and native 5 😭😭😭
No shaman?
The shaman is the king
Lol... the ball cage 😅
Pm2
Military 2
Is that native 5 making a comeback…
Absolutely hate the Native and Shaman. Something about the ergos just dont work for me but almost all the other popular Spydercos do.
ManBug is the ultimate keychain folder.
PARA 3 AND NATIVE 5 ARE THE BEST.
Where's that M4 Yojumbo?
I love my Spydies, but I'm really OVER the whole FRN thing. What's wrong with G10 or Micarta that's NOT a "sprint" run?
I feel ya, but they are sooo light!!!
@@JokerLokisonI agree but, damn they can shred pockets over time. My Delica hasn't been a problem (yet) but, for some reason, my Native 5s seem to chew up my Levi's pockets. Maybe it's the palm swell on the N5 because the Delica is thin and flat?
@@Crusty_Otter Huh... My Matriarch II hasn't been a pocket chewer, but it's a thin flat handle also. Admittedly, I carry different knives nearly every day. And since I' joined and retired from the Army, I've only bought and worn Viktos jeans... otherwise, I wear fatigues or tac pants. Good tac pants have knife specific pockets and/or that genius extra stitching where your clip slips over. Tryin' to think what other FRNs I carry...? Lately, I seem to carry my Benchmade SOCP folder (carbon fiber), and my CRKT Otanashi Noh Ken (aluminum), or a cheap Milwaukee Fastback most often...my pockets stay intact thankfully!
I bought $2 knife made in Taiwan at a garage sale I will use it till I die. Don’t need nothing else.
