Finding the footage, then the photos of these wonderful finds were more than enough inspiration to make this video, six years after the fact! When I first shot the footage, I was 36 years and 2 days old and on the day of this premiere I am 41 years and 362 days old! Alot has happened over the last 6 years and this combines both old school and new school aspects of the SP1SC and who I am! Please enjoy and spread the good word of this!
Great to have you back on the Tubes Jimmy! Never been to Japan sadly and I'm by no means in the know when it comes to Japanese PS1 games (I have like 1 or 2), but I do know that at just ¥2,000 that was an amazing deal, even back in 2018. It is kind of interesting to see how rarities can be radically different based on region. Many Japanese games can be quite a bit cheaper and many are perfectly suitable to play, even if you don't understand any Japanese. Of course this doesn't hold true for those very much sought after RPG's.
Seb, I definitely plan on coming back with new Japanese PS1 content without a question. It seems like the group is ready for me to talk about a few thousand of them and your point on the games that change radically on rarity based off of region is one I definitely want to do and/or restart. I am considering bringing all the 3 Regions Videos, our friend, and in a way boss, Danny suggested a long time ago to do and I have put that on the shelf mostly since the Museum had to close in 2020, but since then I have gotten a ton of games that I can say now own a European, Japanese, and North American copy of so content is forthcoming! I hope to bring back the old crew from the Lancaster City Dragonrats era (2007-11) and the 1st SP1SC&M YT era (2015-19)'s videos into play but not release them all as a lot of them are junk in my opinion but some of them definitely hold true even after all this time!
