Technically ash did own a gastly and finally a haunter ( since the first one he's used against sabrina he did not capture ) as well as a dratini and a pichu since in pokemon journeys ash goes through an alternate dimension in which pokemon de evolve due to palkia and dialga clashing and in this case these are pokemon he's caught just de evolved there technically considered registered

It took me forever to EV train my Pokemon due to how long it takes the EV reducing berries to both grow and produce enough to reduce abilities But I was able to get all of them before the E4 due to talking to my Pokémon when they follow me. The Berry Master didn't give me any until AFTER the E4 lmao

Idk maybe I’m wrong but I really don’t recall Gengar being used during the original Sinnoh adventures. Same with mr mime and some of the other Pokémon. Im not sure using serebii as the reference was the most accurate choice. Not trying to be nit picky but it would’ve been cool to see only the Pokémon he used, with restrictions about when you could use the Pokémon Ash has Oak transfer (like for the elite 4). Let me know if I’m wrong about Ash using some of these Pokémon in the original sinnoh series, I semi recently rewatched it though.
ur right, gengar, mr mime, and lucario were used in the galar anime by ash. he did the challenge in bdsp because it has a wider dex. he didn't restrict to only sinnoh, although i agree it would be better to see him use only ash's sinnoh team.
You're totally correct. Since it was a hardcore nuzlocke, I took inspiration from FlygonHG's ruleset and allowed all of the pokemon Ash has had up to now.
