Best put some miles on it, will less than 300 when the warranty expires. Not sure thats enough to highlight some issues that maybe present. Although generally i hear lex are better than they used to be.
I thought about buying the grey/fluro yellow LXS because its a great price... but my CBT instructor said "we service Japanese, we repair Chinese" That may have been true for time But, I think that's changing 👍👍
I also like the Grey / Yellow LXS. Made in China still has a bad rep, but the shop reckon that's changing. They're probably biased but I hope they're right.
It does come with 2 years warranty so that in itself shows how far they have come. Also when buying brand new you have to go easy for the first lot mileage and not thrash it on cold engine. Just chill and enjoy.
It's not changed sadly, it's not just the country the bike manufacturer has its hq, it's about r&d it's company culture and practice, pricing, reputation, dealerships, volume, parts availability etc etc. the truth is most people on MC/s want a quality bike after passing the A test, and build quality doesn't get better than honda and reliability of the power plant doesn't get better than susuki. Jap bikes have so much higher build quality even than KTM and triumph and you will find that out one day.
We're not talking about wear over time at 5:03, this is about foreign particles left over from the manufacturing process, hence the need for an early oil change. I would have gone for a 500 mile Oil change, but Lexmoto don't give you the option. Once 3 months is up, you have to get the service regardless of mileage.
Ahh right but still that's not good either way, there should be virtually zero particulates in the engine from manufacturing, and if there is any it should be held by the oil filter, which should surely be able to handle it for 500 miles, personally I believe it's because the lower level of the engine quality and engineering on these chinese units required the very frequent and low service interval, I had a royal enfield meteor and on that engine the first service was 300 miles then 3000 oil/filter change and general check with the valves at 6000, but I felt that was a home market thing because the conditions and temperature in India are far more severe than say in England
Typical of these manufacturer warranty especially on the chinese bikes 3 months and 6 months is absolutely ridiculous, especially if it's irregardless of mileage, absolutely barmy 🙄
Agreed. I can understand first service at 500 miles, but they insist on first service at 500 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first, and to protect the warranty you have to get it done regardless of mileage.
1:15 that looked like a rat running across the road
Think I may get rid of my 2014 cbf 125 and buy one of these

Do you think it’s best to get a new lxr /lxs or a second hand Yamaha yf or mt 125
Did the bike fell any different after first service or same as your miles are low

Are you allowed to trim an L plate? Looks smart 😁
Cheers. You're not supposed to, but I wanted it to look good 😁
@@RokyRode Haha I got excited then! Would be awesome if that was legal! 👌😁🤣
5:03 but that statement on oil is pointless after 36 miles! The wear in the engine doesn't happen with time only use.. Crazy

You're probably right there. These Chinese units do have a bad reputation.
They're getting better, but the bad rep came from somewhere 🤔
