Hey Kevin, watch running the boats out of water , it's a water cooled motor and it only takes a minute to burn up out of water. I learned the hard way 😂

If your getting into boats another great beginners boat is the exmitter vector 80 it can run on two 2s lipid and can reach 50mph
I have the Volantex Vector 70, I put a 50A ESC with 4s lipo, it is a riot to drive not to mention fast for a small boat.
What happened after the second boat was made. Drag race. Less moving parts with boats, less maintenance, less carnage. Generally if the boat doesn’t catch fire or sink it will come back and run again . Have fun bud

I've got the Zelos myself. Had it for a few weeks now. If you ever have interest in another, definitely stick with ProBoat.
Lane Waite I had the miss geico 29 when they first came out and just bought the traxxas m41. Proboat wins in quality and handling forsure but that m41 is sure fun!
@@r3nko93 The M41 definitely is fun. A guy I work with has one. It's a simple platform and it's got the Traxxas backing, but you are definitely right about the ProBoat being good quality. I was going to get the M41, then thought I decided on the Sonicwake after having watched videos. Then I saw the Zelos, and right away that boat is for me for sure. The biggest sell point on me was the freaking rooster tails! That was so cool to me. Now that I have one I am VERY glad I went this route rather than the M41. Like I said though, the M41 isn't a bad boat, just doesn't thrill me like the Zelos. Traxxas is fairly new to boating compared to the ProBoat brand, but you can't go wrong with the Traxxas if that's the way you go. There is a lot of good companies out there that make some good stuff, it all comes down to where you send your money. Lol

Hey Kev, I have the same boat and just to note that the switch on the top on the controller is a launch switch, really helps when you need to launch from certain areas, asides that absolutely love your videos man 🤙

Try the udi arrow boat. Very similar but very fast too.
KEV!!!!!! the other boat is not SINKING!!!! its the self rightening on it, so when you flip it over in the middle of the lake one side sinks and weighs it down and flips it over so its self rightening KEV READ THIS!!
Hey Kevin what's really fun is to attach fishing line to the boat and send it around and catch a fish and pull a fish to shore we use RC boats in some of the places that it's too hard to swing a finding pole it's really fun to try to pull a bug fish to shore with a RC boat.

You should try the pro boat recoils. They have a smaller 17 inch and a larger 26 inch. They have self righting incase they flip over :). I loved seeing some boats on your channel since I own the two above myself and I've owned many others in the past. Super fun when you want something different.

Yeeeeah, I nearly bout this one but I have no money, I spent it all on boats... Great vid Kev, also did u tighten the coupling from the flexi shaft to motor, because me and my mate both lost I prop shafts cuz we forgot to tighten them... 😅

I recommend checking out the ProBoat Zelos. Same thing except has 2 ESCs, 60 mph out of the box and twin props.
@@SebastianLong I checked out that boat also. The Hall is stronger then the Miss Geico. I'm stilll doing research on these boats.
@@LuisLPRCs I'm not sure if you are familiar with the "RC Tanks & Trucks" channel but they do good reviews of boats. Might have to search a bit to find what you are looking for though. One of their videos helped make me finally decide on the Zelos. I'll be getting my brother the Sonicwake here in a little bit, has self righting and can be beat on a bit more without the worry of flipping. Has the same ESC as my boat but has a 1900 kv motor rather than the 2000 kv pair I have in mine. I really like my Zelos. The only issue I have it the canopy can be a bugger to get on and off, but the positive about that is it seals very very well.
@@SebastianLong I seen all there boat videos. It's hard to pick one because they all look good lol! I never own a boat before, But I want a fast cool looking boat. I dont want a gas boat. To much to maintain, but they are crazy nice though. Lol!
@@LuisLPRCs the Zelos is my first boat as well. Probably not the best boat to pick to start with, but I've had a few years experience with on and off road RCs and figured it's basically all the same ingredients to make a boat. It kinda is, but you're trying to get the water near the ESC on purpose rather than trying to keep it away. Lol. Good luck on finding the one that suits you the best.

Hey Kev....for some really cheap($100 to $130 USD) fast right out the box fun look at the Feilun FT011 and FT012. I have both they are pretty fast....but with a couple mods they fly!! Your new ride is sweet!!!!

Kevin how did you like running the boat, I know it's a different fun I have a pro boat implulse 31. Lakes and flat water fun for speed but I suggest finding a river with some current and Rapids makes it way more fun. Love the videos cheers from Canada

I have the red and white one and u need to go easy on the throttle, otherwise the prop tends to cavitate and not bite into the water hard enough. Looking to fix that and the drag from the flex shaft by installing a slightly longer straight and rigid shaft. Should increase the speed already, but I also wanna replace the default outrunner motor (high torque but can't spin all that fast, probably installed to overcome the resistance of the flex shaft) with an inrunner to increase the top RPM and gain even more speed.
