Hi i live in Birmingham UK zone 9a. Ive had a camelia planted in a shady area for 3 years now & it hasn't bloomed. The plant itself is growing tall& looks healthy with the leaves dark & glossy. But still no buds. Ive got another camelia in a another bed in a shady area & thats got buds but they haven't bloomed. I planted that last year. What am i doing wrong? I recently fertilized both plants
If tha camelia doesn't need direct sun light I have done mistake, I placed it in the garden not in the pot, whole day it recieves sunlight , it is almost rooten up.
In zone 9- these are the tips. We require morning sun, afternoon shade. We are inland from the coast and the sun is too hot in the afternoon. If you live in a different zone, you may be able to handle more sun for the camellia. Hope that helps!!😀

I am in Africa and in zone 10... my potted camellia buds come out but dont open. What can I do to get them to open
Sorry, we don't know off the top of our head. That is strange to have blooms and not open. Maybe it is not the correct zone?
How many coulor do you have?
In winter we have our largest selection! Pinks, Reds and Whites :)
