Trippy Video Game Themes. These songs are incredibly varied and provide an atmosphere like no other. Sometimes trippy video game themes are there to unnerve you. Sometimes they're there to make you feel lost or empty. Sometimes they're just fun. And SOMETIMES, they're all of the things I just mentioned at once. Some games pull these off beautifully. You have various JRPGs, puzzle games, games like the Mother series and Undertale, ...other games I probably don't know about, etc. Trippy video game themes are a fan favorite (I am the fan) and it's a style I've been slowly getting into and incorporating into my own. sounds like one of the trial themes that starts playing during one of the minigames, or when the protagonist/the whole class has a moment of realization.
I like to imagine a big sideways cylinder representing the geometry of your world, the bottom of the curve being like an empty city street and the rest being semi normal, but the whole world from beneath you is slowly rotating, gravity maintaining its direction as it turns, meaning you have to find a place to go when the sky comes beneath you
I love moments like 4:44.
i just think that basslines like that sound amazing, not to mention the choir.
The melody from "Here I come" was golden. Absolutely fantastic.
Also the hero motif. That was great as well.

This sounds like it could either be the theme to a completely frozen ocean level that once was filled with warmth, or an unsettlingly empty futuristic citadel that's lost most of its power. Both equally unnerving.
The key changes are so hypnotic

This sounds very similar to Apollo Justice, the old NDS game. Its whenever you use his bracelet to try and find subtle reactions to quetions Apollo asks. For example they're hiding something and their hand scratches the back of their head every time the question is repeated.

My thoughts while listening to this: The area where this song would play would be "The Spiral Well", a place where one's consciousness goes while under hypnosis. The character could've been sent there by some sorcerer, and they need to get out before their consciousness is unwound, and they are rendered a mindless thrall. The Well is hard to leave from inside, as all the paths, while seemingly straight, actually just lead back to the middle. An outside force, however, could essentially teleport them out. The question is, can their friends get close enough?
