    It's 2019 and this video is still relevant, I recently purchased a CCO1 Pajero and the YR suspension kit and your video series are making this build seem effortless! Thanks Matteo!

    Gotta say mate, you make top videos. I really enjoy watching them when I'm supposed to be working...
    I love the way you don't faff around talking in circles. No wasted words, and all very informative, I'd easily recommend you to any rc newbie.
    Actually I'm an rc newbie, and would love to see a "Matteos rc for dummies."
    Please keep it going, love the channel, thank you.

    That's the nicest steering bellcrank I've seen for the CC-01. I've tried several in mine in attempt to reduce the slop, and the YR seems to be the tightest of them all. Thanks for sharing Matteo!

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it,s not bad. But as I said in the video there is still slop on it. For me this is acceptable. And the bearings save from worn out the parts. Thanks Fil!

    What a coincidence it is that I just bought a cc01 chassis. Still learning its ways! Awesome upgrade although it adds more surface area on the bottom of the rear axle. Very nice scale chassis!

    Very nice! I like the steering rack it has full bearings on all moving parts Unlike the GPM one with bushings I have on mine that now got a lot of slop from the 2 brass bushings that ride in the aluminum that wore out a bunch now.

    • @jmracer86
      @jmracer86 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      GPM is garbage, bought the steering rack from them and it was worse than the original tamiya plastic ones.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's weird mine was good took a lot of slop out but over the years got a lot of slop because they did not use bearings in the lower rack.

    • @bretb9127
      @bretb9127 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Had the same results with the GPM as Manalo went back to stock. May look into YR solution. Hopefully they sell just the steering parts.

    Hi Matteo, another excellent video, love the yeah racing upgrades.
    I treated my cc01 to the ultimate upgrades I can find. I got it from Taiwan, complete front end, including actual brake hubs and the complete rear end, axle with lockable diff, 4 link suspension, brake drums, etc everything needed to make it a roller, except shocks. It's been on 2 years now and is weathering up nicely. It was quite expensive, but really worth it.
    I love the CC01S, my favourite off road vehicle, and now that they are doing proper life like rc trailing and not the ridiculous rock crawling class in the off road events, I would take my CC01 and join in now, especially with the alloy upgrades, makes the playing field a bit more even.
    Well, loved the video, looking forward to seeing what you get up to with the body, and see the running video. Oooooh yeeaaaahhhh 😎 👍 👍 👍 👍

      @Matteomeier  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ich habe für alles ein Video 😀 : th-cam.com/video/mIBqSOOXFm8/w-d-xo.html
      Aber ehrlich gesagt finde ich es nicht nötig. Besser finde ich ein Crawler Brushless System. CC-01 ist nicht das beste chassis für high speed.

    • @mrbrickster1463
      @mrbrickster1463 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ja das habe ich mir auch schon überlegt obs dann dem Offroad-Chassis nicht einwenig zuviel wird und die Zweckentfremdung noch sinngemäss wäre. Aber weil ich eben schlussendlich den Dakar-Pajero möchte muss schon einwenig Speed sein...😉 Ich überlegs mir nochmal...
      Habe mir auch überlegt das XV-01 als Basis zu nehmen, da dieses Chassis mehr auf Speed ausgelegt ist, das gibts sogar in einer höhergelegten Variante. Nur weiss ich nicht ob ich da die Pajero-Karosse draufkriege, und erst recht die grossen Jeepräder...😣

    How is the steering compared to the GPM? Any fitment issues or slop? The GPM one is garbage and I am thinking of using the YeahRacing set up instead but I'm afraid the quality might be just as bad. Wish Tamiya had a hop up for this.

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The quality of the parts is better as the GPM. There is still a bit slop on it (I think because of too much links in this steering setup) but the bearings helps a lot.

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, never. At this time I think there is no need for this glow engines. These are difficult to adjust, not easy to handle and dirty. Brushless motors with lipo batteries have more power and are much easier and clean as well.
      And Tamiya TGS is an very old platform, I think they are not longer in production, so the spare parts availability will be difficult.

    It is precious, but you say that the cC01 chassis isn't that improved.... There I respectfully disagree. It looks significantly better, in front steering angle, but especially the rear articulations! Much better.
    Over the past few years, I may have done as much to this chassis as you have. Two Different aluminimium front suspensions and three different steering linkages!! 😵 The single biggest issue was always that bellcrank in the steering, from the top to the bottom.... Yeah! Racing look like they've FINALLY sorted that, with only a FOUR prong at each shaft end, instead of 6 or 8, which several others are using. I've had 3.... They ALL came loose, because of not enough "bite" of the steering arms, attaching to that bellcrank shaft. 😫😣😣😬 Because of that, the stress of steering, always worked them looze!!! 😱
    The Yeah! Racing shaft should support the steering arms, *much* better than any of the others! 👍👍
    I would like to find out if I can just get the Bellcrank kit alone. The REST of my front suspension is already aluminium, and works well. Besides, anyone who knows my situation, knows I just can't afford it....
    Thank you Matteo, for yet another great review!! You are always thorough.
    Happy Christmas!! Carmine 🚂

    • @pacbeltrr38
      @pacbeltrr38 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also.... that little bit of slop left, it looks like the link between the Bellcrank and the Servo Arm. The little bit of play in that link, becomes amplified, as it goes through the leverages of the suspension. I noticed a significant difference when I installed a tight, aircraft style rod link, between the Servo and Crank, and between the lower steering link and the uprights.
      You'd be amazed at how MUCH play there is, in just those three links!

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Carmine! Nice to hear from you again! Hope your situation getting better! Of course this parts improve this chassis, I agree with your comment!

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, and I think this little amount of slop does not affect the performance on the trails.

    • @pacbeltrr38
      @pacbeltrr38 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, unless you're in competition, I don't see a little bit of slop being a problem either. 😉
      Unfortunately, our situation has gotten *worse* .... We try, but it is beyond what we can handle ourselves. We're staying strong. If you knew all of it by now, you would not believe it! 😑
      I hope you and your family are doing well, and have a Happy Christmas!
