- I attended Peterhead v Elgin in SPFL League 2. Although they're separated by almost 70 miles, this has become a bit of a derby in modern times!

These young lads create an absolute amazing atmosphere for the smaller teams and up at the top great title race
Yep, exciting times for Scottish football just now!
“Footy Adventures, He’s one of our own” amazing to see, love from the US!
Being from the US if u watch us football and UK the fans are so much better from the UK but then if you come to Scotland, watch a rangers match
@@kyle7061 hoping to see a Brighton game and then road trip my way up to Scotland for a Rangers game in the next few years if life allows it🙏🏼
@dougzo9190 Out of interest mate what attracts you to Brighton? 😂
I hope you get to come to the UK for a football trip. Ideally you could take in a lower tier came in England you’ll get a better feel for football culture than you would going to an epl
Scotland will blow any atmosphere in England out the water if you pick the right game as well. Celtic vs rangers and European games would be particularly games Yiu should try and book around
That sea can is rock'n. Those kids are adding to the atmosphere in a positive fashion. It's a great conversion!
Good on those young lads for passionately supporting their local team. Way too many gloryhunters in the NE. Brilliant video again Sam , your efforts are appreciated
Peterhead deserve a huge amount of credit for their Ultra section. That has got to be better for the youth of Peterhead than supporting one of the Old Firm from a long distance.
Most of the town are Rangers fans for whatever reason.
@NickE1986 This is repeated up and down Scotland. Clubs have to encourage youngsters to the game, and Peterhead seems to have found a good way to do it.
@puddocksclassroom7174 yeah agree there. Hopefully this helps and other smaller clubs follow suit.
Cop on you fool
Ultras 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤣🤣... You mean AUTISTIC SHED!!
Great video. Hats off to the lads creating the atmosphere and tidying at the end!
Go on lads, keep that atmosphere up 🙌🏻
Great video again! Been to Peterhead a few times, good away trip!
Thanks for all the support and coverage you give the Clubs and stadia outside The Scottish Premiership! 😀
Another great video, Sam. A number of Scottish clubs have had their attendances boosted by an influx of younger fans, but kudos to Peterhead - they're the first club I've seen that have actually arranged for them to have their own dedicated area. And it's perfect - a roof to keep the rain off the youngsters and amplify the sound. Great job!
I know they aren’t there anymore, but love the connection to and history of the Highland League.
The main derby up there is Peterhead v Fraserburgh. Both used to be highland league.
I can see that being a League derby one day... Fraserburgh always seem to be there or thereabouts and their attendances are comparable to the League Two sides so they could probably sustain a team at that level
I appreciate your hard work on your channel footy adventures
Thank you!!
@@FootyAdventures keep up with everything on your channel its amazing and brings a smile on my face
what I love about these vid's are they show how invested in their local team some of these kids are - they may follow the top flight but are happy enough to go down the road in their numbers and watch a local team. As a Mancunian by birth I was spoiled for choice but never really had one thanks to granddad and Dad
Another great vlog. Great to see and hear those kids enjoying themselves so much.
Great video mate. Glad I’m getting to see all 42 through your vids as I’ll most likely have little chance to accomplish it. Keep up the great work
Yaas i was waiting for this post i was in the ultras
I saw Peterhead v Montrose a couple of years ago. Windiest match I’ve been to.
Fantastic to see so many young kids at these games
Another good video Sam. Giving me the inspiration to get my ground hopping started. Had enough of the professional game now so I'm taking in the North Region Juniors and North Caledonian league.
Weather and car permitting I will be starting with a tasty derby at Forres for a cup game between Forres Thistle v New Elgin juniors. Both previous meetings have been close fought already. New Elgin won the first 1-0 and the other ended 2-2 so the stage is set for Saturday 2nd March. Will be coming from Aberdeen where I live. Bring it on👍
You must have walked right past me in the main stand, glad you enjoyed the game, maybe see the "derby" from the other end on the 20th of April
I live 15 minutes away and know half of the ultras, still find it funny they all have a bedtime of 8pm
So no Tuesday night games for them lol
Peterhead’s my hometown and whilst I’ve moved away in the past few years for uni and then work, it’s always nice to see the Bloo Toon get recognition online
Love it Sam, congrats on completing 41 of the 42
My husband is currently on 41/42 as well. The last one he has to do is Falkirk. Would be so cool to be able to get them done the same time as you! 😊
The race is on!
@@FootyAdventures Challenge accepted!! 😂
Excellent atmosphere from those kids, and your reaction to the Stennie v Clyde result was fabulous. You have to watch A View From The Terraces on Friday, Craig Telfer, a Stennie fan, picked Stennie to win that one last week. Friday's show should be fun.
41 down, 1 to go 😁👍 Brilliant as always Sam.
That looked like a fun day out.
Another fantastic vlog Sam. You deserve your success.
Loving this video sam! 2 teams i follow closely and have a soft spot for.. i used live in the middle of them (Portsoy)
On another note, you'll have to come to North Lodge Park sometime for a Formartine home game in the Highland league! Hope to see you there sometime mate
An extremely so fantastic atmosphere in Peterhead which is located in the northern part of Scotland and despite this is not exactly a derby, that was a great match, good friends!!!LONG LIVES RESPECTIVELY TO BOTH PETERHEAD AND ELGIN CITY!!!🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️
Sorry, how the hell did Clyde win 6-1 away at Stenhousemanure?
Teams 70 miles from each other can be a derby. In Norway we have a derby between Bodø/Glimt and Tromsø. They are more than 300 miles between each other
good man,,,,but its not Celtic,v the angers new club
@james6901 oh does dhimmy feel left out of the comments section 🔴⚪️🔵
Did I just hear. “The French make good cars” 🤣🤣
the dx...cx,,,,course they did,,,shite now though,,,saying that we (uk) own fk all car manufactures,,,,cheers maggie the ct thatcher
French car's are absolutely hopeless 😂
Peterhead! Incredible club!
Fantastic!
Love a game up in Peterhead. Best chant I've ever heard was there.
Thistle fans were sining 'you only sing when you're fishing'
Peterhead fans returned with 'we only sing when we're finshing'
Thistle fans returned with 'you're going down with your trawler'
Brutal!
some names in that league I remember from child hood days ( when the "classified results" were read out ) that are lower than Peterhead !
Nearly done the 42! 🤞🏻🙌🏻
Another top video Sam
Would be good to see Buckie Thistle promoted then there would be a 'proper' local derby for Elgin in the league, and the same for Peterhead if Fraserburgh are usually thereabouts at the top of the Highland League most seasons with each of them winning the title once in recent years. The league could do with a few more teams from the north being promoted, rather than it usually always being teams from the Lowland League going up.
Theres a morrisons where the old falkirk fc ground used to be too. Strange that they've done it twice.
Oh yeah true. Morrisons must be getting good deals on old stadiums!
Brochville was a shit hole lol hole in the ground to shit in away end lol
Liverpool won League cup today. ❤
Well done on completing all the 42 current SPL grounds.😊
Montrose are home next weekend Saturday 😮
Do go Nairn country too Sam. 😅
Do you plan on doing a video on Bayer?
Xabi Alonso is cooking as the fans say.
Hanwell town in April would be interesting
Good away point for Elgin city! They have a chairwoman
isla Benzie which is nice to see
Absolutely love the ultras shack - as a teenager, that would have been amazing.
I wonder what the longest-distanced derby is globally?
Rory McAllistar, absolute Scottish Lower Leagues legend, like David McGurn at Raith. Would have had those two everyday of week at Rangers in 2012.
Morrisons seem to have a habit of building on historical grounds. Meadowside at Partick, the original home of Partick Thistle is now home to a Morrisons too.
Another great video sam. Could you do one on st helens town fc at some point fa vase winners to cheshire league 2 😢
Congrats for your channel, nice job. Maybe one day you ‘ll come back in Italy and see one match of my club..one of the unlucky in Italy..😢 CALCIO PADOVA. 🙌🏻 A.C.P. 1910 - IN HOC SIGNO VINCES! 🙌🏻
when Stranraer and Berwick Rangers were in the same league it was always touted as the Border Derby... 167 miles apart!
Should get a Volvo @FootyAdventures I believe there is one for sale in Peterhead. Used to belong to Peter Ried. Saw an advert in the paper. rip Peter...
😂
Big Up tae the BLUE TOON ULTRAS 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🤜🏼
Gotta come see the mighty ES soon Sam
Head real north and watch Thurso play Wick. Record attendance is 14, or 8 less than the players. Believe me, I know, grew up there!
Proper fans , no bullshit Premiership...go for it and have great times
reed heeds fit richt in onywhaur aver Scotland, Brither
Come to Canada mate our nearest opponent is 588 miles away
🤣🤣
I’ve been to Peterhead as a non driver it’s the furthest away from a railway station & trust me it is over an hour away on the bus from Aberdeen.
No it isn't. You obviously got on the bus that takes the scenic route through all the local villages. There's 2 buses every hour and one goes through the villages like your one did, and the other just makes one quick halfway stop in Ellon and takes slightly less than an hour. By car, the journey is only 40 minutes.
@@gattman1983Nae convinced you can get Aberdeen - Peterheed in under an hour on a bus.
@frasermccann9559 roughly 55 minutes last time I took the bus and that was before the ANPR was built. Like I say, depends which bus you catch.
Suppose it depends where you get picked up and dropped off. I was picked up at the top of South Road and got off at the Bridge of Don just before you turn down to the beach. Bus station to bus station will probs be just over the hour mark.
Clyde beating Stenny after going 17 months without an away win must have been a right coupon buster 👀😂
Come to Fraserburgh Vrs Buckie semi final
70 miles is nothing, the Rocky Mountain Derby here in the US is almost 1000 miles round trip, about 480 miles driving between Salt Lake City and Denver
Mon the Elgin 👍
How do you get into a Scottish Premierleague game? I cant find tickets for sale anywhere.
Tbh thought Bonnyrigg Rose was a Country song.
How come there no club sides from Lerwick, Kirkwall or Stornaway that play in the Highland League or Scottish Cup?
There's a team from Orkney in the Caledonian league which is one of the feeders to the Highland league.
Good question, lack of investment is all I can think. Nobody willing to coach or finance teams up there although the communities would definitely benefit.
Those ultras, fair play to em 😊
Are u coming derval auckinleck game semi final
I don’t know what I think about that container
Can't wait to see him at ibrox, his last game
Literally because of you, I am on Football Manager managing an amateur Scottish team called Uncle Bob's. 😂
Haha good luck getting them to the champions league!
Which channel broadcast Q of S v Montrose?
Can you come to Kilmarnock vs Rangers on Wednesday at rugby park with the killie ultras
❤
RIP, Peter Reid.
Top guy top channel
What’s the name of the app you use when checking scores and stuff?
Can someone explain to this sudden thing with "ultras" in Scotland? Seems like everyone has a group like this, they look and sound the same as other groups from other clubs ,they don't seem very original to me
It's the furthest club away from a train station in professional football leagues
Best till last I take it sammy boy.
My pals are there
peter reid fi peterheed is deed, volvo for sale
Getting the younger generations involved is the only way teams in lower leagues will survive into the future, every club should be looking to do little things like that shipping container for instance to incentivize and encourage the kids to get loud and involved in the games
It is not a derby! Traditional derbies are played between teams based in the same city, town or village. These teams are 70 miles apart, in different areas.
Or regional
Cant call that a derby. (In my opinion)
Great to see, better supporting their local teams that supporting rangers, like the rest of them in Peterhead, shows zero character supporting the old firm
mon the toon
mon i toon
is that football fans or a playgroup ?
!!!! FREEDOM !!! INDEPENDENCE FOR SCOTLAND NOW !!! ARE YOU YES YET ? IF NOT WHY NOT !!!!
still pissed mate?
The Peterhead ultras are NO
Nice to see some young lad supporting their local team but they are no ultras. Maybe in the future but only singing some songs and bumping around does not make you an ultrá. It is a lifestyle.
i mean if they come every game its part of their lifestyle?
Why do all these ultras, and I use the term loosely, have an average age of 12 ?
C'mon the City
Foreigners now wondering why they can't find Peeir Heed on their maps! 😄👍
pmsl @ ultras 🤣
Those pre-pubescent voices. Bless 😅😂
Ultras ha ha all about 12 years old
Makes more money from yous supporting him than yous make from gate money. Catch yourselves on ffs and he donates nothing.
Leaching money from the team you love. What happened to real football fans
Can you really be an ultra if you’ve got a squeaky voice?
Respect to Peterhead, though. They’ve got where they are under their own steam unlike a couple of other clubs 100 or so miles to the west.
They aren't Ultra's they're kids jumping up and down. You can not call a 13 year old an ultra.
how know?...whats the law for ultras?
70 mile, a 2 hr drive? Are you pushing the car ?
These highland roads are windy and slow!
you dont drive up there do you? glasgow/edinburgh 56 miles,,,,takes me more than 2 hours every day at 7.30....but you probably drive your mums car to morrisons so know fk all
guy uses his mums car to sign on,,,,whats he know sam.@@FootyAdventures
ps windy or windney,,,,ah dont know just asking.@@FootyAdventures
Probably not far off it, especially if you get stuck behind a tractor on the road. The roads in the north east are a long way behind what there is in other parts of Scotland. To travel from Elgin to Peterhead you'd have to use the A96 and A98 which are two of the worst A roads in the entire UK.
