    I will need a update on the head unit.

    Dude..i like the math snd engineering numbers you speak of. I just purchased the 2 stage set up from you guys, but i think i may need more. If you go from the stock boom radio to the sounstream radio, will there be a significant sound increase in the system? If i was to go to a 4 stage with soeakers in the front lower fairings what differences would i see? Thank you for the info.

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Soundstream radio does make it some louder but also clearer due to a stronger input to the amp, lowers will add more volume as well so you can clearly here it at highway speeds without going as high in volume on the radio

      @@volunteeraudio I have a question, I’m updating my system in my 20 street glide special to a 4 speaker system. If money isn’t a problem, what would you suggest, speakers, new unit, ect? If I’m more on a budget, best option? I like all music and I like loud and clear and highway speeds. Love the videos and I have learned much but also brings more questions. Thanks

    I have been a fan of HERTZ for a while now. Do you guys ever test Diamond audio or the “new” cicada stuff.

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, both are the same, Diamond was sold and the owner uses the same build house in china to make cicada, not really new. We compared and still believe hertz is much higher quality product

    • @volunteeraudio

    Awesome info Jay...question..
    Would you recommend the Sp4.900 to run hertz neo 6.5 in uppers and lowers...hertz neo 6.5 in tour pac and RF 6x9 in the lids...what would each speaker get..about 140?? Or about 70?

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be 2ohm stereo so it did over 280 watts per channel at 2 ohm, you will get over 140rms to each speaker

    How will polk mm1s sound on the ppi and hertz 900 amp?

    • @volunteeraudio

    HOW DO YOU THINK THE CICADA AMPS COMPARE TO THE HERTZ AMP

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think they do, cicada is high distortion like many other motorcycle amps on the market, .02 thd on the hertz amp and dyno results to back up the power

    Hey Jay, I have infinity Kappa’s currently running on a Rockford amp and like to switch to one of your amps, which one do you recommend?

      Maa4.400 from precision power or sp4.500 from hertz. Call us at 1-844-30AUDIO to get a plug n play version setup for your radio

    these amps are just basic setups? I'm looking to add beyma or euphoria coaxial 6.5 to my fairings, and some 8 mid base to my bags

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We build more advanced setups but they are not plug n play, there is not a more powerful amp available than the sp4.900 only companies claiming larger numbers

    Jay I just purchased the hertz amp and neo front for streetglide can those sx neo handle power when the amp is bridged and I will be adding some 6x9 neo later and maybe a separate Hertz amp to get a sound as good as the new 1000 wat Hertz amp . Thanks

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only way to get the power your asking about is to purchase the new hertz sp4.900 it is 5 times more powerful than the Hmp4d

    @dionne681 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How far above RMS do you recommend running speakers?

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the distortion of the amplifier, that is what’s most important, this new Hertz amp is not the norm for high power amplifiers, most are very high distortion and easily blow speakers

  • @mikesen2320
    @mikesen2320 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh, and one last question. The hertz Amp seems to get really hot after normal use. Seems a little excessive but not sure if its normal for this amp. Any suggestions on keeping it at a lower temperature? And thanks again dude. Your the man!

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If running 2ohm it will get hotter but never hit enough to burn anything

    • @ericperry72
      @ericperry72 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Class D with no fan amps tend to run hot when pushing a low impedance load. Completely normal, now if it's too hot to touch them you have a issue. A suggestion though to help out these amps is to install a fan or two in a way to blow air or extract the heat from the amps. Every little bit helps

    Jay, I currently have 6 speakers (fairing, tour-pad and lids with the Hertz HMP4D-SS from you guys) I want to add 2 of the new hertz subwoofers in my saddlebags, but don't want to add an amp in the bags. What amp or amps would you recommend that could fit behind the fairing, so I don't have to add one to my bags? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sp4.900 would be a great choice to add for subs but it would be difficult to add both amps in your fairing without an aftermarket amp shelve and modification to the bike

    250 watts per channel at 2 ohm. So I have upper and lower fairing speakers hooked at 2 ohm. Is each of the 4 speakers getting 250 watts or splitting the 250 between the 2 speakers?

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s actually about 280-290 watts, I’ll do a future video to answer this question, most will tell you it splits the signal but I think you get more than half that number to each speaker
