You have some giant machine jacks to hold that fine bored steel structure, we love giant machined products you see we are two micro-machinists, so your smallest tools are bigger then our largest likely by 25 times. It looked like all the holes were referenced from the machined faces on the bottom and the end against the tall stops? These surfaces appeared to have been machined in another prior operation? Is that correct?
First a roughing of all holes is done in case you have to correct the coordinates. Once we verify that all of them are within the established parameters, we move on to the next phase, which is the final finishing giving the measurements that they require with total precision. .

Wonderful video . It must be nice to get to see where the parts you have machined actually get installed . It makes your videos far more interesting. Working in a “ job shop “ ( just machining and very little assembly fitting ) is rewarding but I love to see the complete picture when possible.

Essa peça pra pegar a referência, sou da área, mas não a tenho. Uso um tarugo de diâmetro conhecido e faço os cálculos de referência. Nem sempre temos todas as ferramentas. Sempre que posso eu as faço.

Excellent. Como controlas el diámetro de la "ranura " usas Y axis o tu boring head es hidráulico? Con un cortador circular e interpolando en una CNC sería fácil, pero manualmente no tengo idea clara. Felicidades otra vez un gran trabajo.

Great video, it's nice of you to documet your work. I'm always nervous when I see this kind of machining. I'm a mechanical designer and if I make a mistake at work I can just undo the last operation and that's it, I guess it's not so simple when you're making chips :D . I hope you get paid well.....

Raymond, realmente muy buen trabajo, veo que estas muy bien equipado en herramientas igual. Tengo varios problemas con mi TOS W9 para poder realizar trabajos lejos del husillo, y veo que los realizas con mucha destreza, donde estoy cuesta hacerse de las herramientas, que usillo tiene esa Juaristi ? Saludos
El husillo o caña tiene un diámetro de 110 milímetros. Cuando se trata de trabajar con la caña extendida las operaciones son más lentas. No admite pasadas profundas para evitar vibraciones.Hay que ir poco a poco en la operación de desbaste hasta dejar el acabado y la medida exactas. Otra solución es acoplar una luneta extensora en la caña que agilizara la operación. Todo depende del trabajo y la forma de la pieza a mecanizar el optar por una opción u otra. Raymond, realmente muy buen trabajo, veo que estas muy bien equipado en herramientas igual. Tengo varios problemas con mi TOS W9 para poder realizar trabajos lejos del husillo, y veo que los realizas con mucha destreza, donde estoy cuesta hacerse de las herramientas, que usillo tiene esa Juaristi ? Saludos
El husillo o caña tiene un diámetro de 110 milímetros. Cuando se trata de trabajar con la caña extendida las operaciones son más lentas. No admite pasadas profundas para evitar vibraciones.Hay que ir poco a poco en la operación de desbaste hasta dejar el acabado y la medida exactas. Otra solución es acoplar una luneta extensora en la caña que agilizara la operación. Todo depende del trabajo y la forma de la pieza a mecanizar el optar por una opción u otra.
