I always kind of wondered if you take out your slowest linebacker and replace him with an extra defensive tackle so you have three defensive tackles and two defensive ends and bring your strong safety up to replace the slowest linebacker to cover the tight end and just have your free safety play in the middle
These videos are awesome but sometimes I feel like he's explaining concepts using other terms that many of us don't already know. For example, what's a "three technique"? What is shade on the center and two eye on the guard?? If I knew what all that stuff meant already, would I really be watching this video?
Wouldn’t this change if a defense was running a 4-3 as apposed to a 3-4 since the d line aligns differently to play 1 gap? Like how the nose tackle alligns as a 1 tech in a 4-3 defense.
there isnt a "nose tackle" in a 4-3 defense. i think what you are describing is the 46 defense where it is still technically a 4-3 but a linebacker comes down and lines up in the D line and the 2 DTs are off-center with one of them covering the center. otherwise the way he is describing Over, Under, Odd and Even are all straight forward regardless of the team playing 3-4 or 4-3

The B is for the “Buck Linebacker”
