Ahh! Can't believe I missed this when it first came out!? Anyway, AWESOME work on the game and video Jack! Was cool seeing it all come together from your progress tweets. :) Just played it as well, and you definitely nailed the movement. If you do decide to take it further, it would be cool to hear a back story, and why on earth I have a glider and a grappling spear?! xD
The game's really fun to play, especially with all of the possible routes for the levels. I will consider leaving a donation, Mr. Barji. *Hold up* 2:48 *sus* 😳
This looks really cool, well done! While watching the footage I was wondering how it would be if the rope would be a physical object: so let's say you grapple onto a tree which overhangs a bridge but you then swing underneath the bridge and thus your rope length suddenly cuts off considerably, giving you even more acceleration.
Just got recommended your channel, great video! Stunned you don't have more subscribers at the moment but I'm sure that'll change quickly. Awesome stuff
Go this on my recommendation since I’m learning game development! Really enjoyed it and really hope I can understand all the things you mentioned from the development perspective soon! 😅 Congrats. I subbed
really good stuff dude, you just got yourself a new subscriber, I'm looking forward to whatever you do next! Seems like you have a pretty good eye for design! Proud of you! Keep it up :)
6:35 this would be a good way to project an image onto a ground IRL, for those perspective paintings to where from one angle it looks real, but looking at it dead on, its all distorted. using this technique, cut out a shape of what is in front of you (the image) and then the geometry behind it that was in your line of sight that was not rendered will have the correct placement on the ground to where the image should be projected and exactly how. imagine using this in some AR goggles and tracing over the AR on the pavement. would make creating these much easier.
Looks awesome! On another note, don't feel forced to release it for free just because you had fun making it. You made it with your time, you should get paid for it.
just wanna say that technically 1:15 another good way to limit velocity whilst encouraging momentum is with drag, which unity has built into its rigibody system. Although the velocity cap requires much less tweaking and is probably simpler, technically drag is more "accurate".
The game looks very cool, seems first person parkour games are pretty popular nowadays as everyone's making one but yours really stands out as something very unique.
damn, I watched this video thinking you had around a million subs? but then i scroll down to see how underrated you are! sub to this man and download his amazing creation. Good job keep up the work on these awesome games. definitely got my sub and like.
The game looks awesome! I've not seen anyone combining gliders and grappling before. It reminds me of counter strike surf servers that have a parachutes but done well.
Hey I love your content man! I just wanted to ask how you made your 3D models. I was thinking of creating them and importing them from blender but I'm curious if you did it differently. Also, how do you create those animations when you're explaining things in your videos?
Amazing, but how did you create the maps using blender? How did you figure out things like how big a room should be and other details like gaps, holes, heights of walls etc within blender? For example what happens if the pyramid's entrance hole is too big or too small? Do you go back to blender and edit the model until you get it right? or do you just make things like a small chunk of the wall and then put it all together in unity so that you can easily edit it after testing?
My level design process was... terrible. I created different sized models for everything and just resized in unity. Most stuff was made in blender, and I just so happened to get the pyramid about right. :)
Just a critique, great game but I hate that you slow down before you get to the spear, you should slow down if you go past it but not before getting to it. I got stuck so many times because i would just slow down waaay before i even reached the hook. other than that, great game :)

drag also acts in the Y axis which makes it much harder to fine tune. it would be cool to have a vertical drag option
Really great video! one of the best edited videos I've seen in a while! huge congrats.
U have been in the video my boi ;))
As new learner to Unity who only started 2 days ago. Your video is so encouraging to me. Hope I can be your level someday.
