Hi Han! I’m a salon manager at one of pets at homes groom rooms and thought I’d just leave a little bit of advice! The brush you have is spot on for when she’s a puppy, as she gets to around 6 months her puppy coat will be interchanging into adult coat and therefore will become much more coarse, you will need a comb to go through the coat after brushing with the pin side everyday, also try to focus on the harness area when grooming as the material rubs against the fur and causes it to matt really easily! Vivian Kolos Hi! How old is your lab? You should purchase a fish brush or “zoom groom” or a furminator brush, these brushes are much more targeted towards labs. With the zoom groom you can run it backwards and forwards along the coat and the loose undercoat will come out with little force. In terms of getting her used to brushing, it needs to be daily and by stopping everytime she bites she is learning if she bites she doesn’t get brushed which is what she wants, right? Get hold of a slip lead and tie it to something that won’t move and when brushing if she behaves, reward her :-) brush gently and slowly to not spook her or make her feel like it’s a game x

It’s not silly to brush the dog’s teeth. My vet recommended it when we got our puppy (a yellow lab - much bigger than Sunny 😊) The finger toothbrush is a great idea.

I sadly can’t use the finger brush as my puppy bites to hard but I use a baby toothbrush
It works for some people, it doesn’t for others. I brush one of my dogs teeth a lot, and she still has had dental problems in the past. My other dog has never really had her teeth brushed and has perfect white teeth. I think genetics play a big role in dogs health

Since she is a bit scared of taking a shower they are usually scared because the floor is slippery, so you can just put a towel or a shower mat on the floor 👍🏽😊

It’s not silly at all to brush there teeth I learnt my lesson when my last dog ended up having lots of dental work because I rarely done I, tbf though she was old at the time (14), I brush my 2 puppies teeth every single day without fail now because I want there teeth to be as healthy as possible lol, also definitely only use the dog seat belt with the harness its really dangerous to attach it to the collar x

I had a really big fear of dogs, and somewhat still do depending on their size and how much energy they have. But I have since over came that fear because my friend had a dog and I got used to being around her. Now I have 1 dog and 2 puppies it is definitely easier overcoming your fear when you get your dog as a puppy vs an adult.

Little tip: the retractable leashes are very dangerous for you and your dog. If the dog get caught in it, they can suffocate. Your fingers can also get tangled in it and it can cut off your finger. I have a lot of dogs, and I definitely recommend the regular leash. Ps I love your dog!

its only dangerous if ur dog is cazy. if u have a calm dog its just normal and fine. iv always used that kind and never lost my fingers or strangled my dog with it lol

Also, very important to brush doogo teeth at least once a week, preferably every day. Small dogs are notorious for their teeth getting full of tartar, and vet cost to get them professionally cleaned is more expensive compared to dogs with bigger mouths
The vet fleece is such a good idea! My frenchie pup has chewed through 2 beds already but prefers a comfy mat!

Keep that good care for her. It is reaaallly important, especially when she gets older and get's adult hair, to brush her to not get her matted. And I love the fact that you bought earpads ^^ Never forget to check her teeth every now and then, also important when she grows up. It is soo refreshing to see someone who really thinks about everything before getting a dog. made my day :)

I work in animal care and find slip leads are good to loop over and pull secure when you need to catch dogs quick, so defo worth taking on trips to the park/beach 😊 also, you seem to be the perfect dog mum with all the research you've done! Sunnys a lucky pup ❤

Brushing their teeth is very important. I learned this the hard way with my Yorky and Yorkypoo. Smaller dogs have more issues with their teeth. I now have a cavapoo puppy who is three months old today. And I brush her teeth as well just to get her used to it even though their puppy teeth.
As far as traveling with the dogs I have found that using a create and covering it with a blanket or putting a create cover on it makes them feel more secure and they’ll settle and sleep while traveling. I agree that the harnesses are the best option. I like to keep a collar with the name tag in case she did get lost. I too am going to be putting a chip in her when I get her fixed.
Your puppy is super cute. Bella Rose is as well. Does yours have a ton of energy and go nonstop? I’d love to see a video on how you keep her calm and not crewing everything.

Hi! Im a big fan, and I would recommend a product you can get off amazon called the mudbuster! For an example, of you go on muddy/dirty walks or hikes and her paws get dirty instead of having her take a whole shower just put some soapy water in the mudbuster and scrub her paw in and boom! Spotless!

Just clip the doggy seatbelt to her harness instead of her collar - we do this with our puppy and it seems much safer
We bought two seatbelts with metal clasps from pets at home which you either click into the seatbelt ejector or tie round the headrest, they are usually in the boot of the car

the brand kong is a very well known dog brand so the treats will be fine but as she is young maybe split them in half with my pup i give her a kong treat or the easy treat spread and put in the kong toy when she is due for a nap so we can leave her in her crate whilst we pretend we are in work(working from home because pandemic) so she won't wonder where we are when we go back to work the kong toys are also great for teething

I love how you thought of literally EVERYTHING that you would need for her.
Especially the recall leash had me smiling from ear to ear!
Just a few things;
Please do take care when you give her the cooling mat, if she chews on it and the gel comes out she might get intoxicated.
- when she’s bigger/fully grown you could get her a cooling vest too! (I know it’s controversial and not everyone is a fan of them but we love them, especially during our hikes and when they have to wait during Agility Training)
I would totally recommend getting a crate for the car. You stated she loves her crate at home so it’s her safe spot! Of course you have to crate train her in the car aswell, but if she loves it at home she’ll love it in the car too!
Please make sure to look at how the tennis ball is with her teeth. Some tennis balls are like sandpaper and they basically sand their way through the dogs teeth.
I mean there are a few other things that are debatable, but that’s just about personal philosophy.
☀️Never owned a dog and won’t be any time soon(I would love to in the future! ✨) but really enjoyed this! Treating your dog is nice but I like what your mum said! A bowl a lead and love ❤️
In reality u dont need bowl u can just put it in himan bowl if we will do it like that xD U olso have rope for her lead. But i think puppy or dog wouldn't be that happy aboyt it.

I just got a puppy 2 months ago and what we do is we put a blanket under where our feet go and some toys then put my puppy down there because it will make them feel more comfortable when your there with them. I got a Blue merle aussie doddle and they get pretty big. So when he is older you can just switch to the back seat! Thx i love your vid!
Just a quick thing about the lead’s.The slip lead is really quite dangerous as if your puppy/ dog gets excited it can pull on there neck. I know you’re not using it really anyway but try and avoid it and I can tell you love her so much 💗 and spoil her x
quick thing I want to say about this. Slip leads are a training method. I love them because they do not choke them out because they only tighten a little bit when the dog pulls, which is your concern. If your dog pulls then this will come in handy to train them to not pull.
Its not that dangerous. At the kennel I work for the dogs pull even with slips on and I don’t hear them coughing or choking like they would with a flat collar
