I learned to make Chocolate Delight in 8th grade Home Ec in the 1980's, and I still make it every Christmas. My crust has chopped nuts with the flour and butter, but otherwise the same as yours. Love it so much.
This is a delightful and delicious recipe! I’ve seen it as Lemon Lush, too. But the crust was made with crushed cookies and butter and then baked for just a few minutes. I’ve also seen it with crushed chocolate cookies and butter for the chocolate version. Anyway you make it, it going to be a hit! You really are blessed with good health! My hubby is 76 and has been through bypass surgery twice and I’ve been through a craniotomy for a brain tumor. But the Lord has been so good to us! She used a pie tin but always had to make 2 or 3 because it was so delicious that 1 was not enough! 😆 When I was about 22 and pregnant my Mom finally started making this dessert in a 12" × 18" pan! 😆 😂 It's been several years since she or I have made it but I'm so ready to eat some! I was thinking the same thing. Looks like everything else is the same as my mama used. Just crushed pecans (or walnuts?) with the flour and butter mixture. Sometimes she would change up the pudding mix using pistachio or butterscotch or lemon. Always delicious!
We grew up calling this Pudding Dessert, we weren't terribly creative --- i love it with half chocolate on one half and butterscotch on the other half and a nice blend down the middle.

I always had good health myself until all at once, I had a clot hit my heart and caused a heart attack! When I woke up 4 hrs later after having 2 stents placed, I had complete Severe Head to Toe Neuropathy! Now, I struggle to even hold a fork! I can't cook all the good country meals I was raised on and cooked my entire life here in N Ga mtns! I get so hungry for good Home Cooking! I always cooked like you do.
