I normally agree with your reviews but the XU10 is a far better device. The R36S is good once you fix everything wrong with it. The screen on the XU10 is warmer which is why it has more green, the images are sharper. I’ll give you the overall design of the XU10 is confusing though fit and finish is better. My first R36S back buttons look like the openings where cut with a hacksaw. The joystick placement is awesome on the XU10 for long play seasons but I don’t understand the ledge on the back. The XU10 can play some more difficult to emulate games which is where you see the difference in performance otherwise it’s not noticeable. I spent too much time with these handhelds when they came out trying to compare them. I like your foam idea because my biggest complaint of the R36S is not being able to play it in public with how loud those shoulder buttons are… every dog within a mile immediately sits when they hear them and waits for a treat.
I have to disagree for a few reasons. Screen is better on R36S. I disagree about the image being sharper. R36s also feeeels better. Menu button placement is better on R36S. Software is better on the R36S. Arkos is much better than Jelos.
The only thing the xu10 has over the R36S is the main controls.
@@JaviPlayRetro The XU10 can actualy run n64 games better than the R36s, it also uses copper vents, so the cooling is much better than the r36s. XU10 has a worse screen, but better buttons and triggers. But the CPU is like 10-20% better, and tends to overheat less, cuz of the copper vents.
I bought a R36S not that long ago and im absolutely in love with it for 40bucks imo nothing can beat it.

Good video Javi i don't own this handheld but one of my favourite classics is the RG350M , first handheld i ever got and its a beauty.
Both have their Pros & Cons. I love them!
R36s just because I don’t own the other one lol…
I’m just happy with what I got, looking to make the controls a little better. Make a few adjustments and whatnot. Great video though! Earned my subscription by golly!

Ehy man how i can exit game in batocera? Menu dont work.
I put save ambernic in save folder batocera but when start game, old saves dont exist.
Does the Pokemon games included initially with R36S get stuck on the SS Anne or other anti-pirating mechanics?
How do these two compare to the RG35XX plus & H? Got my H from TikTok shot for about 50 bucks. Bought my kids the plus for about 80 bucks from Amazon. (Faster delivery with insurance). So did I overpay should I have gone with these? 🤔🤷🏽

Literally all he did was make the triggers quieter with foam and tape. Really nothing else.

Socs in smartphones and the ones used here they dont have dedicated vram in the gpu so they use the system ram for textures in games and thats the reason the xu10 is better in the heavy games because it as a much faster ddr4 ram were the r36 as ddr3l at half the speed !! in integrated graphics it makes a Huge diference having faster ram !
For me I would personally get the xu10 because the loud buttons on the r36s is a deal breaker because I was planing to take it to school and with the loud buttons I will just disturb other and my self and I am not the type that like physically change and mod something but I do agree that the software and the screen are better in the r36s I don’t really agree with the battery because every device consume energy differently so may be less capacity but stay on for more and also don’t forget that there is a air flow in the back of the xu10

Is it possible to connect a bluetooth dongle to the R36S so that wireless headphones can be used?
From what I've heard, it only does external wifi, not Bluetooth. But maybe check forums.

well it as worst d-pad and shoulder buttons and less performance because uses ddr3 ram instead ddr4 !!! and the xu10 is 5€ expensive the xu10 its so much better but i guess you have to mentally justify and defend the plastic box you bought !!(so funny) !!!
@gvibes69 R36S is better. Better screen. XU10 screen is green. Better build. R36S shell is soft plastic. Better Software. Arkos, Jelos, AmberElec Batocera. You have so many options with R36S. XU10 stock is locked down and Jelos is kinda mid. Also, having had both. I actually do prefer the dpad on the R36S. I dont care for the buttons being split. Also, the button layout is better on the R36S. Nintendo layout is better, period. Most people want to emulate nintendo games. Confusing xbox layout on XU10. Plus, other buttons on the XU10 are just off. Especially the G button or menu button. Where on the R36s its right where it should be. R36S is the budget king. Sorry.

I've made some adjustments to my R36S, including fixing the D Pad and buttons by adjusting a screw and using a piece of fabric. I also added lead weights and muted the front LEDs while I had it open.
The R36S was a $48.23 Canadian purchase from AliExpress, with a potential $2.33 coupon. Currently, the X10 is priced at $85.68.
My R36S is themed exclusively for Pokemon games, and it has exceeded my expectations for what I wanted from an impulse buy. I'm unsure of the capabilities of the X10, but the R36S has been more than satisfactory for my needs.
How dare you disrespect the R36s. Who is mashing the start and select that much? The face buttons abxy are no where near as loud as the buttons you chose to show case. The disrespect. Put some respeck on the R36s name. We finish or we done? 😤

XU10 has a better chip and can better play N64 games. But you are buying it for 16 bit games!
I have the RS36s and I took a Nintendo switch controller that holds the joy cons a fake one that is cheep and took it off and put it on there with Velcro and now I have a big controller for my big hands it works great no need to spend $ on one it'd a fun fast dyi
