Mooie boom.
@@GrowingBonsai that’s right but lucky me I live in a farm n I’ve spotted tons of big ones but haven’t paid no mind now ima have to put the big boots on haha ^.^
Exactly 6500 followers! Hope you’ll double them soon! I haven’t counted how many times you said you were leaving the tree alone in the garden but kept chiselling rotten pieces away! For sure the tree looks great at the end!
haha, yes, the thorns are horrible, which is why every berberis I have owned so far has left my garden within a few seasons! Lets see how long before someone convinces me to let go of this one!
Barberry is one of my new favorites! Will start one in the spring! Yours will be a prize winner one day! 🐦💙
thank you. Do make sure you buy steel gloves. Prickly bastards!

Dank je! Ik overweeg de natuur het werk te laten doen, en de stam uit te laten rotten ipv frezen. Eens zien of er volgend najaar een video in zit!
Wow, this tree will become very interesting!
I hope so too!
Great video Jelle and I love how you pushed your chest out at the end for the final bonsai master pose :)

@@GrowingBonsai It's ok to be a rebel. The "Flex" at the end was priceless.
Great video Jelle 👍
Thank you!
Lovely potential in this tree. Like you I hate thorns on trees and needle juniper can be wicked to.
needle junip pricks but not nearly as nasty in my experience!!
nice
thank you 🐴
Would love to see an update on this one Jelle!
Me too. But nothing yet to show :)
A lot of work and a lot of thorns... but it has a lot of potential. I have to admit dont like it because of the thorns... but I love the final result.

Lovely video. Very educational. What is your soil mix? Do you have a video on your soil mix please?

Hey Jelle! Amazing progress in this Berberis 👌🏼 I sent you an E-Mail regarding the package ✨
saw the email, will respond there. I think I messed up
@@GrowingBonsai No worries, I saw your response. I'll send it to you again asap. :) cheers.
I have contemplated getting a barberry for a while, but the thorns are just awful. I love the trunk on yours though. Thank you for sharing!
agreed. Worst thorns i have encountered on bonsai. But all other aspects make it an interesting species
everything goes back to the soil it was made from, what will we take with us
dust to dust it will be!
