It's for the kind of high density storage and don't need any space between racks, only shuttle can move back & forth, the storage space can be 100% used, width, height and length, the racks can be as long as the storage length such thing the gravity type cannot achieve, it minimizes the forklift aisle, only need 1 for LIFO and 2 for FIFO, the cons: only LIFO & FIFO, not 100% accessible, need a consistency palette type and packing type, best use for cold room and the like, I think.

Seems slower and more expensive than pushback or flow through. What's the point here?

Strange kind of warehouse organizing. What if there are more than 100 items in one section and I need number 30? I should take out 29 pallets before I reach target pallet?

Clearly, you can configure the racks as needed. This is for either LIFO or FIFO inventory.

Man, this is FIFO/LIFO otherwise you need full automated warehousing, those are completely different things and requirements, don't take it too personal but guess you're not that much deep with logistics ;))
