Thank you for the content. Question for you, on which axis are you shifting? Are you shifting along the closes rail to you (the rail that's top to bottom) or the first contact rail? Or is it diagonal towards the pocket that top left to you? I've been shifting along bank of first contact and not getting great success with it. Could be the bad rails I play on too though! Thanks.

How does the cue distance affect the speed of shot? 3. When playing a shot should you always have the same cue distance? i.e should the cue stick travel the same distance in all shots?
hi Mick very enjoyable again,as a youngster i was half decent could just break off and clear up,alas as an older player i developed a sad trend id stand behind and as soon as i adressed the cue ball i couldnt stop myself instantly striking the cue ball,suppose its similar to dartitas have you any advice,cheers,
Question- black corner pocket white opposite corner pocket no way up the table off the top cushion, how would parallel shift out of that? Right hand side before the middle pocket to straighten the white off the top cushion?

Hi all looks great but could we please get a scenario where the object ball isn't a dead set plant and is away from the cushion so its not such an easy hit? i appreciate the logic of whats trying to be shown but its all a little lost in what amounts to a trick shot , youve missed the intended object ball but being so close to the rail the area to hit is massive and the use of your Paralell Shift is kind of useless
The principal applies when a ball is in the open too. But the table, cloth, cushions all play a part. The table you see in the video had just been reclothed an hour before and the balls polished, it was also the first time I had played on it so wasn’t sure how it would react.
Not exactly the toughest shot. A better scenario to practice would be that the two yellows aren't on so then you need a snooker behind them. Those parallel shift routines might need bending

I didn't even see that shot. My thought was play up behind the two yellows and try and snooker my opponent or at least make it difficult.

Not my table. The table is fantastic though. It’s a SAM Atlantic Champion. I may do a review on it in future.
@mickthemachinehill yeah I've played on one in tamworth cues codsall, I found the pockets ridiculously tight, agreed nice looking table though .
In your display of what a "hair of spin" looks like, it actually appears to be almost an entire half tip of side spin.
