    I managed to catch Phily on three occasions using my bike, but I had a home advantage, since I live in Copenhagen 😉 but it’s hard work, considering the pros only run for about an hour 🙈 anyway, was happy to see you included my shots in Phily‘s video! Keep up the great work!

      😂 yes a little home advantage helps a lot but I love your public transport so much nicer than over here in the Uk and thank you so much for your lovely shots and the cheering! It means a lot to both of us

    Running easy not easy was one of the bad habits my (rather awesome) coach had to get me to control. I'd never run to RPE before and was always nudging into Z3... now happy to go out for easy/long runs and sit at the bottom of Z2 or even in high-Z1. Pace is now where it was before. Strava can really get in your head if you let it but having a plan for each run means I don't care if a run is "slow" or who sees it.
    Love the BTS insights - the quality of content you guys put out doesn't come easy!

    I have actually wondered about the logistics of filming from multiple points before, so that was interesting to see. I think you should keep doing the sub count at the end of each video even after you hit your goal, it will be neat to see over time as your channel grows 😊

      Glad it was interesting! and I think I will carry it on, I mean I'm doing it to 10k for sure!

    Absolutely loving your progress and all the behind the scenes too. You are keeping me motivated, loving the grind. Both you and Phily deserve every success going forward. Best of luck!

    Really like to hear about that change. I really was wondering, but as you have a pro at your side, I did not dare to mention it.
    With regards to ego, my 5k PB is close to 20 minutes, my recovery runs are around 7:00-7:30 min/K (!). Just enjoy 😁

    I've actually had the opposite problem to you until a couple of weeks ago. I was running my easy runs too slow at like 8m/km since I had my max heart rate and the conversion wrong, and it was really hurting me since there was no energy return on my strides, now my runs are way more enjoyable and I feel some nice progress on my durability and aerobic capacity. Glad to see you're taking your easy days seriously too. nice progress!

    Great video Daniel! It goes nicely with Phily's video!
    For what it's worth I still haven't figured out my pacing. My "easy pace" if I go by heart rate should have me absolutely crawling, but I know my heart rate is higher than average, so I kinda just go with how I feel. If you're enjoying slowing things down, by all means do that! :)
    Also, getting real close to 5k subscribers!

    Please don’t take this the wrong way but I find the videos you post uncomfortably good. I think the epitome of what I mean by this was the Phily emerging from the suitcase scene. It didn’t necessarily need to be there, wasn’t crucial to developing any narrative but it was there. I’m glad it was. Glad to hear you’re delving into low HR training or at least monitoring it for your easy runs, GL with everything!

    I knew it couldn't be easy for you to film Phily's races, you do a great job! I tried to film videos during my 6-month trip around the world last year and it was SO difficult. I remember thinking I needed a travel mate who loves photography and videography, but no luck yet. GO, Team Phily/Daniel!

  • @oscardanson7127
    @oscardanson7127 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do the same thing for easy runs, got to go by heart rate, but also make sure you have customized your heat rate zones with your heart rate reserve

    Love the battle cry :D !! Maybe you could add some phrase that is in sync with Philly's phrases/on hand memo's etc? Also kinda expected her secret journal to kinda magically glow (.. just kidding ) .. awesome job on both videos and on both performances!!

    I ran the Copenhagen half. Brilliant city with amazing support and atmosphere on race day. I thought the course was boring as hell. Great for the PB chasers as it’s flat but it was a hot 20C on the day. Hope you had a great weekend Daniel 🙂👍

    • @DanielMoves
      @DanielMoves  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it really wasn't ideal conditions, but as you said a great city and a great course if fast times is what your looking for.

    I never thought much about your pace but now that you point it out(yeah). Enjoy those easy runs if you are working it's too hard. Even zone 1 is okay if you need it.

  • @Rich_1
    @Rich_1 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should try out some proper trail running. It’s so much fun. I do all my training in the city and all my racing on the trails. And you also got to try out a trail run race or grassroots trail run race to get the full experience.

    To anyone who is starting to run - even with a club and 8 minute mile is a strong pace..... ok it's not A class 6 minute etc or Elite but be happy with the 8 (I would be after injury) then Phily can give you strides or intervals and this will speed you up and help your pace to.... good luck #Daniel Moves

    As you are only like 100 subs away from 5k do you have any idea yet on what half marathon you're going to sign up for?

    • @DanielMoves
      @DanielMoves  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope 🤦🏽 we didn’t know what park run I was running this weekend till the evening before, so there’s a little window into our organisation skills 😂 but don’t worry I will be picking something soon and letting you all know 😀

    What does your coach think about these pace changes???

  • @oscardanson7127
    @oscardanson7127 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ok clearly it all works but why would you rely on the metro instead of cycling or running?

    • @DanielMoves
      @DanielMoves  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bikes are a nightmare in busy environments! But they are a close second to public transport
      And running with a heavy camera and backpack I think i'll pass 😂

    • @Riyoth4489
      @Riyoth4489 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rollerblades, seems like a solution? Faster than walking, they work in busy environment and they give you automatic high ground!

  • @heathenstrengthtraining3059
    @heathenstrengthtraining3059 ปีที่แล้ว

    The question is, Have you had a rollocking from Phily? for running your easy runs too fast? ands does your butt really hurt from having her kick it?

    • @DanielMoves
      @DanielMoves  ปีที่แล้ว

      She is pretty kind on me actually 😂

  • @Acewhip
    @Acewhip ปีที่แล้ว +1

    ?!?!?!?!?! You've been doing this for a MONTH already and you didn't tell me?!?!?! WTH Daniel!!! Subbed, LOVE Phily but I know it's all your fault 😁 On your training point, if you want to get some "faster" work in while keeping the stress low, I would really look at fartlek work. Lots of variables you can mix in there to have fun, get the speed in, but still keep the overall pace "friendly" 🙂

    • @DanielMoves
      @DanielMoves  ปีที่แล้ว

      😂 well I’m glad you are here now!
