Bill Henry You must have skipped over the pilot. He was wholly unfamiliar with the computer, at first, too. But he quickly became an expert after speed-reading the manual, and some “hacking” magazines.
This is one of the reasons why people adore the Eighties and Nineties. People made jumps, took risks, thought outside the box. They were living in 4D Surroundsound, while we're barely 2D most of the time. Maybe it lasted only 13 episodes, but it went WAY WAY beyond the fiction - and some of the philosophy - that we have these days. Now, so many 'creative' people are just whip-driven cattle and the money men are so powerful, they can ruin everything for DECADES. Maybe longer.

I see a very heavy influence of Isaac Asimov's Foundation series in this episode. When The Visitor starts expounding on the possibility of " predicting the future " via a scientific method he runs EXTREMELY close to the idea used in Mr Asimov's books, the idea behind PschoHistory. The use, the study of people historically in order to predict future events...all figured mathematically.

This series was years ahead of its times. It starts where X-Files ends it was super but Fox was so stupid they did not know what they had and like Star Trek it got cancelled.
Thinking about watching this series... Watch Pilot first then the other 12 episodes. Gives you everything a Sci-Fi fr 1997-98 could give you!! Excellent story. You'll want to finish a total of 13 episodes!! Binge watching Sci-Fi? It's time well spent! DO IT!! Cheers.

I remember watching it when it originally aired and how during a turbulent time (Y2k approaching and it seemed like terrorism was happening EVERYWHERE), yet this show brought a little respite. Watching it again almost 20 years later, during another chaotic time, I'm reminded that everything turns out okay.
What a shame this only got to 13 episodes, it does look promising. Never heard of it, I don't think it made it to the UK; this could easily be rewritten & updated!! Thanks for the UL ;-)
One of my first crushes that nearly burned me to the ground. More than gorgeous though, the character himself is lovely, charismatic, compelling and absolutely defying the 'laws' of the really sick people who are in charge these days. And it's hard to resist a #Rebel #BestKindofBadBoy
Let's expand on that. His research paper, according to the military, was fancy talk for electromagnetic induced levitation, then talking about using it both ways. Faraday's Coil is a ring wrapped in copper wire that can induce electricity by passing it in a magnetic field. But by running a current through the wire, you can inversely induce an electromagnetic field as well. This study not only creates electromagnets, but also the school where Faraday studied has used it to create levitation of metal objects.
Great movie; actually very very interesting. Mind you, John Corbett's supposed to look like Beau Bridges. bet you ten to one. Acts like him too, but not as well; Bridges' face reveals a thousand different expressions in every shot, this guy is moon faced, albeit handsome, but it's still a great script. I've forgotten the character Bridges was playing; some kind of alien who was adorably naive and learning to become a human or something.

Yep, it was really great, I don't think I've seen a plane chase like that even in a movie!! I'd like to slap the idiot at the network who didn't pick this up, sometimes you have to give the audience time. Shame about the ending, it felt like we missed some scenes, one minute escaping, next second in jail with no explanation, maybe they over ran on time? This also feels like a pilot as it had it's own ending, just in case they didn't get to make anymore. Thanks again for the UL.

There is about a 4 or 5 second piece of music that is exactly like some from SG-1. The ending has them flying off in the fighter and the next moment has Faraday locked up by the military guy. Huh..?
That's a 5/8 or 3/4 scale P51 Mustang kit plane. Several manufacturers in the U.S. make them, and they are not actually called a P51 because they aren't one. S51, Thunder Mustang, etc. The skin is polished aluminum. Any airplane with Aluminum skin can be polished to look like that. Not done too often because it requires constant polishing to keep it non-oxidized and not tarnished looking.
It is too near the truth of what consciouness is , it all and parcel of the universe., it must have been pulled for that reason, everything has Consciousness whether a tree, Rocks , water etc Mystics and Bhuddists bound this long time ago I have tried sending thought just the energy not an image animals react to it.
