yes it is, its a lovely car
I have one brought it 4 months ago and have had to take it back twice with oil leak wish I never had it now
Oil leaks not usually a problem with them, or any cars these days, however, if you have had to take it back twice I would guess that the garage is at fault as they didn't fix it right the first time, you don't fix one oil leak then it starts spurting out somewhere else, hope you get it sorted
I test drove a 1.4 turbo it was a good drive I liked it so much I bought it.

What does anybody think about the 1.4 automatic I think of the trade in my diesel in
Andrew Williams make sure you take it for a good drive first, after a diesel you may find it a little lacking in mid range torque , perhaps the auto gearbox will make up for it by changing gear more

Which is better this or the Ford EcoSport?
on my astra j elite the arrow that tells you to change gear comes on when you go slow ive done 10.000 miles in a year
should tell you to change up or down i think, according to your speed and revs
does this car drive better than the astra j 2.0 cdti elite
Craig Trigg it has Turbo power it has a far smoother drive but Astra engine is larger so it gives more power
I'm thinking of going for one. Found one with SE Trim. However, I'm a tad worried considering they replaced the 1.7 with a 1.6. Was it due to reliability or?
not that I am aware of, i think the old 1.7 was an Isuzu engine and a pretty good one, more likely to have squeezed better emissions out of a 1.6

Not that it’s relevant at this point as you have probably already got you’re car and his video is well over a year old but they actually changed the 1.7 as customers complained it was way to loud and sounded like an old van.

No wind and tire noise? I can hear a lot of it in the video.
thats because i use professional sound recording equipment and it actually amplifies the noise which you cant actually hear in the car, you're welcome!

No its acceptable, but i use professional audio equipment, 1 microphone is near the floor to pick up the sound of the engine but it also picks up tyre noise which you would not normally hear

Why have Vauxhall gone from creating a near silent 1.9CDTI of 13 years ago to producing this hideous tractor sounding 1.7 monster?

That engine seems to make an absurd amount of noise for a modern car. My own diesel is virtually silent inside the car. I would not under any circumstances consider a hideous sounding engine like that.
