      BASEL HASHISH same :/

    • @bamajc777
      @bamajc777 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      BASEL HASHISH I think the Snapdragon 835 will beat the Exynos. I saw a video earlier where the 821 in the LG G6 went up against the Samsung Exynos and the Exynos barely beat it. so if I had to bet I'd put my money on the Snapdragon 835.

    • @baselcrash2
      @baselcrash2 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I remember PhoneBuff made a video and talked about how SnapDragon in Samsung S7 was inferior to the Exynos, however he also mentioned that it had fantastic performance in other phones like the LG you're referring to, basically it's not a problem with the processor itself, but how Samsung optimizes it in their phones.

    • @bamajc777
      @bamajc777 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      BASEL HASHISH last year the Exynos was faster than the 820 I saw the S7 edge video. but this time around I think the Snapdragon is faster. and the video I watched earlier the Exynos did a good job and managed RAM well but the 821 just kept hanging around and wouldn't go away. the Exynos won that battle but not by much. I don't think it would beat the 835.

    • @StopMediaFakery
      @StopMediaFakery 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      BASEL HASHISH 'Optimize' seems to be the most overused word in the smartphone world right now. The Exynos is technically superior to the SD, with it's custom large cores. The clock speed of the Exynos 8895 is 2.3 and 1.7 vs 2.35 and 1.9 on the SD 835, yet it scores higher in benchmarks. It's also more efficient. You have to remember that Samsung phones use heavy skins with a lot of features, which is bound to have some effect on performance. Regardless of which phone the Exynos 8895 is in, it would perform better than the SD 835.

    I have the S8+.
    I am probably at the higher end of the unlocking, too. I am 5' 7", and have average sized hands, and I don't have any trouble reaching the fingerprint scanner. It might miss once per day, at the most.
    The only time I feel the need to use the screen reducing gesture is when I'm using my off hand.
    The only time I have trouble reaching a corner is when I reach for the lower corners. Then, it gets top heavy.
    Put simply, I love the plus and its size. No complaints.

    i got the s8+, bigger display and the battery is amazing, i don't care about one handed at all, i love using 2 hands for my phone, and the fingerprint is none issue is really easy to get used to it with a case. After hearing all this non sense about being hard, is comes natural after a few week's, i really thought it was gonna be an issue, loving this phone!

Do you really think one can get used to it in a month perhaps? because if yes then forget the s8

    I agree completely with all the points you mentioned in this video. I was REALLY deliberating between the S8 and the S8+. I had used an iPhone 6 plus, 6s Plus and iPhone 7 for almost a year and a half between the three phones so I was accustomed to two handed devices. I've got to say I really don't have any regrets about switching to the S8, it's been an absolutely great phone to use and it's SO nice to have such a large screen in such a small form factor compared to the iphones. it really brings me back to the days I was using the LG G2. I have no desire to get the plus variety

    TBH I don't get the finger print scanner complaints. I have average sized adult male hands and have no issues reaching it on my S8+. Additionally, since I'm using a case that provides a tactile reference I've never accidentally touched the lens.

    @klgadgettv 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video you have there, I also bought the S8 over the S8+ due to the fingerprint scanner as well. Have you tried putting on a case? I find myself reaching the fingerprint scanner a lot easier as there's a cut on the back to make you feel right.

  • @jakevan1969
    @jakevan1969 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the S8+ and love it. You get used to the size. I have had no issue with the finger print reader and have been using the left index finger to turn it on holding the phone in the left hand; sometimes with the right hang to stabilize the device to be on the safe side. I am using Nova Launcher for "Gestures & Inputs" so that I don't have to reach to the top of the screen to pull down the notification shade, instead I have "swipe down" for the notification shade and another swipe down for the Quick Settings and a "double tap" to sleep. Nova Launcher's folders also make it easiet for one-handed use as folders to the left of centre open to the left side of the screen, folders in the centre open in the centre and folders open to the right if on the right side of the display. This way you can put your most important apps in folders on the side of the hand you are most likely to hold the phone, in my case, on the left for easier left-handed use vs Touch Wiz which has the folder open in the centre of the display making it difficult to reach apps at the top of the folder. Using Touch Wiz makes the phone a 2-handed phone no doubt.

Also, I have average to large size hands and have no problems using the fingerprint scanner. Sure, it's not located well, but with my case and the repetitive use, I can nail it 99% of the time.

    I had the s8+ in my cart when I was preordering, then I went back and changed it to the s8 at the last minute, because I wanted a smaller form factor after using an iPhone 6 Plus for 2.5 years and loved how I could have a small form factor yet a bigger screen. A 5.8" screen is definitely big enough. I got used to my 6 Plus, but it was never comfortable to hold.

      My Exynos s7edge is just as good, if not better than a snapdragon s8. Mine gets just under 2000 single core and around 6200 multi on Geekbench4. There is NO apparent difference in performance to an s8, it has a better fingerprint scanner, a larger battery and now is cheaper (if you're shopping for a phone). So yeah, an argument for 'better' can be made. I was going to upgrade to an s8, till I realised it wouldn't be an upgrade so much as avoidable unnecessary expense. If you've got an Apple or an older Samsung, sure get an s8 but if you've got an s7/edge, especially the Exynos variant, don't bother.

    I went from a Nexus 6P to the S8 because I wanted something more comfortable to carry around in my pocket. It did take some getting used to, and I'm not thrilled about the curved edges, but now I can put on my shoes without feeling like my phone's going to break in half. And it doesn't look like I have a butcher's block in my pocket.

    I weighed all this when I bought the s8+, and more. For me it came down to screen size, since I watch crunchyroll and Netflix on the go a lot. I'm very satisfied with the hardware and OS though. Its very responsive and stable. The otter box case kinda solves the finger print issue. Really only one way to get your finger over the sensor, and it rarely misreads your prints that way. My hands are messed up, so I couldn't use a phone one handed if I wanted to. So two hand holding it isn't an issue for me, no choice. Wish they put an IR beam on it. Miss using my s4 as a remote.

    I struggled with this decision as well. I like the bigger phones as well, but the plus isn't that much bigger for an extra $100. But I went with the plus anyway. The fingerprint reader is in perfect reach for me with my right hand and I can drag down the notification bar with it as well. I love it. I pretty much have no use for a tablet now.

    I haven't yet had a problem with the fingerprint scanner, or the iris scanner. I hit the power button and it's not even a sec after looking at the iris scanner that my phone is unlocked. Hell, most of the time, the scanner doesn't pop up because its so snappy. The only time it does is when im not looking directly at the phone. As far as the fingerprint scanner, it's honestly easily accessible even with me being a lefty and having smaller hands. sometimes I may have to use both hands, but I've been doing with all of my smart phones, so it's nothing new, or anything for me to complain about. Yes, I don't wear glasses, but I do wear sunglasses, but I don't think that there will be a phone that could scan your iris through dark lenses. I'm ultimately satisfied with my S8+.

    If it were me, I'd go for the S8+.
    I held both in person and because my hands are really big (I can even hold a 9.7-inch iPad from side to side with one hand, albeit being a small stretch), the S8+ feels no different from my current Moto Z, and reaching the top wasn't too much of a deal due to my aforementioned large hands, along with the fingerprint sensor since my index finger is pretty long (again, my experience but I still maintain that the S8's FPS is still not in an ideal location for all hand sizes).
    I love big phones, in other words, and because my hands seem to be unconventionally large, it feels strangely comfy, even though it might not be so for those with smaller hands.
