One more thing worth noting that makes refrigerated even worse is that the reduction is multiplicative not additive, so max good with salt makes food last 10x longer (not 1.9x as long as base) while refrigerated only makes it double, so 3 perk points(same as chemist or grocers can be equal to) is 5x better than refrigerated
Tip if chemist or grocer mod move all of that type out of your stash. Idk if its still a thing but stash would show the buffed weight but in reality its the real weight in there. Now im a glutton for buffs sooo i carry food n chems sooo grocer with traveling pharmacy and i lug all of them around. Saves me easily 400 lbs in the stash lol
Absolutely I've made more caps with the grocers backpack it's unbelievable alot of times to gd im always at max caps then ppl buy out my vendor and i don't get any caps and just put 2r3 points on traveling pharmacy and your able to carry well over 1000 lbs!
Great video and fair analysis, but the end of the day, it depends on how you play and what level you are When I started out I also had the Green-groccer's Backpack. I always had food and barely used chems other than stimpacks, so it was a no brainer, but as my levels went up and I started running bloodied, things changed. Suddenly I needed far more chems than before, but couldn't do a straight switch to the chemist's backpack, so I maxed out the strength Legendary Perk Card to give me an additional 5 strength and ran Travelling Pharmacy. Then I maxed out the Agility, which let me add Thru-Hiker. I now run with S,P,E,I,A, and L legendary perk cards all maxed out, so have an additional 5 perk points in each of those, which is why I switched to the High Capacity for straight carry capacity increase. Other things that help with carry weight are * Put deep pocketed mods on your non power armour limbs, each will add 10 carry weight * Use Union Power Armour for an additional 75 or Excavator PA for an additional 100 * You can also add calibrated shocks to your power armour to increase your carry weight by 100 (stacks with the ones above) * Weapons Weight Reduction armour. This will free up things like Bear Arms if you have a heavy gunner build and enable you to either get more damage or use Travelling Pharmacy. On Power Armour it doesn't really matter what the first star is that much, just get the WWR. Took me while to roll a full set of unyielding, secret service, but the difference is huge, I start each day 150/496 with my carry weight I hope I'm not overstepping, but a couple of tips on your loadout... drop the Ironclad in favour of Lifegiver. It is one fewer star and protects you against everything by putting 45 on your overall health, not just 50 against only ballistic and energy damage (trust me). I also think you have space in your load out to change to Thru-Hiker too. I have a shotgun build and would rather have Thru-Hiker than Enforcer. Why do you need to cripple things when you just shoot them in the head? Drop Marathoner and put Enforcer in at one star, then add a three star Thru-Hiker (Mortimer is pronounced more-tim-er, the same as Bob Mortimer haha)
High cap's weight increase is just an illusion. you'd get more by using chemist/grocer and investing those perk points into damage boosting, or survivability perks etc. that way you can collect whatever consumables, chems, etc out in the field without getting overloaded too quick and having to dump them to an alt or give them free to other players. idk bout lifegiver, costs way too much points for almost nothing and even on a bloodied build you rarely die with proper playstyle. Cola nut/Fireproof/Chemfiend/Radicool and maybe even Revenant is way better to put points in. im pretty much running grocers on a bloodied hybrid heavy gun/commando build with maxed out traveling pharm, bando, bear arms, ordnance express and batteries included. switch out action boy/girl for through hiker when I hop into PA. I drop bear arms for 3x level 1 heavy gunner cards in a full set of OEAPWWR PA, helps with carry weight since I always have 2x railways, 2x fixers and 6-8 other heavy guns with me +misc pistols etc. For Luck, I run maxed out class freak to keep the downsides of running mutations minimal and keep carry weight up. The rest are standard crit build stuff so i'd still be doing mad crits every shot with heavy guns out of PA. I really dig serendipity and prefer maxing that out over richochet but that's just a me thing. Carry weight peaks round 440+ but I'll usually carry about 370+ worth of stuff all around at the start of the sech and it takes quite some time to fill it up to max capacity unless PA pieces are dropping from every single legendary enemy. 20-50x each side chem/consumable/drink/non-perishable food, 200+ essential chems, and almost 500+ combined grenades. I do a transfer once or twice a month to an alt for the excess consumables instead of every other day. So yeah flat out carry weight isnt that great when it comes to collecting a bunch of stuff. Oh and I don't run 90RW weapons to save up on weight despite not having a full set of UNY WWR armor.
Chem has to be the best hands down tbh it works with EVERY single build that's not in Power Armor, as for food like I mean with the radstag camp item no real need to have it since we got that on hand 24/7
I seem to carry much more chem weight than food weight between radaway, radaway diluted, stimpaks, super stimpacks, and stimpaks diluted. In addition to everything else. Only food weight that's high for me is purified water. Seems like the chem mod and freeing up perk points as well as legendary stars on armor far outweighs just +60 carry weight.
Hey everyone Do you agree with my ranking? If not let me know your rankings and why :) I appreciate each and every one of you who watch my videos and thank you for all the support
Great video and explanations. I’m happy with the 60lb backpack with Grocer Mod. (Water & Dogfood) I’m a sick puppy. With wt reduction in chems it’s a win win situation. ❤️👍🏻
See I disagree cause I simply don't carry my food and drugs with me. I keep a small amount with me the rest I leave in my stash. Usually to keep my carry weight down I stop by train station which have a stash box in them.
😮 I didnt figure this! I busted my butt grinding for those dang badges and the grocer mod is way better for holding a lot of my food n stuff especially since I get tons of purified water almost every event I do
@Vampyjen just wondering if you have the thru hiker mod what sort of build are you running? I cant lose the 3 perk cards on agility because of the shotgun and VATS build.
I mean I have managed to lose the traveling pharmacy perks as well. I seem to be managing my space okay at the moment. Need to stay strong on hoarding chems :) @Vampyjen
A bit confused when you say mods is it just mods within the game or mods like from nexus mods? Sorry first time seeing one of your videos. The backpack you have on now is from the same person I got mine but mine is of the hardcase_mrfuzzy_backpack. Does that stay the same even if I put different in game better backpacks on?
@Wv. oh yes, someone was selling this in their vendor for 5k caps and I was like oh this is a cool item, then someone said .... I haven't got the heart to drop it lol
i bought the ''high capacity'' backpack mod from a players vendor, saving me hours of doing those scout challenges
Then, like me, you realized all of the debuffs made it sht
Yes. I agree that grocer and chem mod are the best for your backpack.
The only time you cannot rely on them, is if you are wearing power armor.
@jackunova7284 I havent been a P/A build for a while now, keep wanting to give it a go, but love my loon mask and apparel way too much

@xDuxkbotx hey I have to agree on either the Chem one or the Grocer both have great effects. A junkie build must love the chemist one :)

I sell the plan from time to time... I grind all the missions to unlock it, and then sell it. But it is not cheap
Xbox or PlayStation?
Instead of using the leg perk what rads just do a quest where you can make radshield, gives same benefit as the card
See I disagree cause I simply don't carry my food and drugs with me. I keep a small amount with me the rest I leave in my stash. Usually to keep my carry weight down I stop by train station which have a stash box in them.
Disagrees without giving alternative, nice.
Chemist all the way
@markspencer4246 100%
Heavy gunners need chemists mod vats rifleman builds need the food mod
So how do you get the 2 star effect on the ring? Lol...
I noticed your wearing a 2 star ring??? Wtf?? Lol how do you get legendary effects on jewelry
Good channel straight to the point😭💖🙏✨

@blitzbreaker072 I know its crazy, I know some people say but its an extra 60 but I easily save that and more on the grocer
high capacity backpack mod is the way to go !
@Vampyjen just wondering if you have the thru hiker mod what sort of build are you running? I cant lose the 3 perk cards on agility because of the shotgun and VATS build.
@@AKP_Gaming yeah i got thru hiker . atm i running a melee build
Hard pass on those negatives.

@Vampyjen
Question can i equip both Chem and food backpack mod or only 1 at a time
1 at a time, but you can use the perk cards in place of either/both that do the same if you have 3 extra strength or agility
@@arocker216 oh alright
Grinding for gold also. This game is a grind.
Who is the person in the thumb nail pic?

why do you talk like that?
