What a sick strategy. I love the idea of using the solver to study weird positions that are not "supposed" to happen. Very cool way of re-introducing exploitative play back into the game (I guess it really never left). And awesome to see one of our favorite players from the golden age of poker staying on the cutting edge. I always liked Daniel, he always seemed like a nice, relatable dude with a kind heart.
The call if the 5 doesnt hit is the correct play in my books. Makes 100% sense. I have to try the hybrid test sounds fantastic! Thanks Daniel and yet another well played hand. cheers)))
I gotta say, I love the way the white hoody fits on Dnegs. It doesn’t sit flat. It sits up and surrounds his neck- hiding any possible heart rate reads on his jugular heheh
The great thing about playing hybrid against GTO players is that you can do things that get them totally off their game when you do something they don’t expect.
Dan, I'd love to see more hands, and hear your thinking, where you've made a bad call and lost a hand...that you possibly could have won. Trips on the flop are a pretty easy hand to play...especially when the flop is a rainbow.
makes perfect sense! thank you so much Daniel for sharing this and i'm getting into the point where i understand every word you say and this is just great as i'm getting better and better at poker. thanx million for everything that you do for poker community i really think that you are best poker player who does the most for poker community. i don't think anybody will match you with this. you are also one of the greatest to ever play the game as well. thanx thanx and thanx!!!

Great way to start my day with a smile, a new Daniel video. 😁 I remember that hand and initially thought oh dear what is he doing. Btw your impression of Nick was spot-on. 😂

All computer set, we got a range bet range bet😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂..i laughed so loud i woke my wife up and she got mad😂 I love it.. im gonna make rap outof it😂. 😂 DAAANIEL. DONT DO IT😂!!!
I been watching a lot of these. How would he know (or at least have a feeling) that he wasn’t beat with a better full house? How could Daniel eliminate pocket 9s and pocket jacks from his range? I know he had a big raise pre-flop but not certain those hands would have folded. Anyone know the logic? Thank you
I’m thinking out loud, and it seems like there are more hands that beat him that would call a jam on the river, than are worse than him that would call (if that makes sense). Really expected him just to call there.
When the river came, Peters' eyes did a slow close a couple times... now of course we have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, but that certainly looks like a "f***" look to me... he knows he bet fat on the turn, got no payouts on the river, now only way he can win is a bluff, now he has to figure out how big to bluff it to eclipse Daniel's range, and of course he has to consider if Daniel maybe has a 3, even though a big bet on the button might not look like it, but this puts him in all kinds of dilemma. If he just checks, he just gives himself away with his thoughts and patterns, it's like accepting defeat.
DANIEL NEGRANEAU IS THE GOAT. Even though he says Phil Ivey is, which is and may be true. But Negran is the man been watching him for 15 yrs. Plus him doing these pods are amazing intel. But when he mentions all the possibilities lol he makes poker intimidating to play because all that runs through my head and it’s crazy anxiety playing at the casinos like commmerce and the bike in Los angeles
Obviously I'm not at Adamo's level but not sure what he is trying to do with such big bets on Turn and River. Seems to make more sense to bet smaller to get folds from Kx, Ax, low pocket pair type hands.
I really enjoy these breakdowns but I completely disagree with Daniel's analysis on the river. As played Peters has a lot of hands that lead the turn, so Daniel should arrive on the river with many hands too (has to defend with A10+, all clubs). That said Peters with h this sizing targets these hands on the river so he should have at least all his paired jacks, maybe some 9s too. I believe Daniel should always raise a set with this stack depth. Doesn't need a full house.
If there is a game that is 500/1000, with a 1000 big blind ante, why isn't it just called 500/2000? Isn't that exactly the same? Is it called something different to draw attention to the fact that the small blind isn't half of the (effective) big blind?
Although the BB player must pay 2000 total, the price to call for any other player at the table is still just 1k. So in that sense the blind value has not increased.
Hi Daniel, you are a hero in Poker. So why you are always comment what other say? There are different way´s to play and you have a great range!.. I learn and laugh often. So please don´t care about the people. and also I think not a lot laughing.. we all thankful
btw, I think that flop is not even a range bet, since you're getting check-raised a lot by BB. I guess BU is supposed to check back at least 30-40% of the time. So your check back is well disguised :)
@@joshuawax4049 ya for sure. he is talking about how he considers Peters' range. what I don't get is why he doesn't mention the possibility of 99 or JJ specifically, as in the line of thinking behind that. Is it kind of the same as them having AA in some rough spots, where if he has it he has it, but if you consider that too likely a possibility your eEV will plummet?
@@Samuel88853 yeah that makes sense. his agressive bets otherwise indicates those hands or bluffing to me though - i guess what daniel mentioned earlier on that when playing short handed people are going to play alot more hands in general, so the likelyhood is lower. i just remember so many scenarios of my own games where i'm in a similar spot and it feels like every time they're sitting on the pockets lol. Nah you can raise even if you don't fill up on the river because you need to go back to pre-flop. Peters wouldn't have called your 4x open with hands like 73, 83, 93, etc.; in fact he's prob only calling with A3 and maybe K3s. You're beating all his hands that he's value-betting with on the river (except for pocket 99), so of course you need to raise.
I love the idea of Daniel's wife sitting just off camera, giving him a stern look every time he's about to reveal a secret
