    Very impressive in light brush. Couldn’t make a living in the woods with that setup here on the west coast. We need big horse power dedicated mulchers
    To even have a chance to compete on projects. Keep up the good work and hope your success continues.

      Same here on east coast. Even my baby asv 135 deleted and turned up to 160hp and 50gpm just way to slow. I use her has a clean up for fine mulch.

    Been following your page for a while now and seeing how you are progressing. I’ve been in trucking for quite awhile and had been working towards getting into mulching and other dirt work. Would love to chat some time.

    The perspective of the camera angle from the push bar is awesome.

    • @TheTreeShop

      It’s also probably the scariest angle 😂 I’ve mulcher a camera before and it’s not fun

      That’s what I thought could happen to one. 😊 Still an amazing angle to watch the machine mulch. Keep those mulching videos coming .

    I have a 299xe with an FAE with bite limiter and knives. Love it, but hate sharpening the teeth. Which head do you prefer the gyrotrac or the FAE? I wish my head had the option of getting the self sharpening knives. People don’t understand how much regular maintenance is entailed when mulching.

    • @TheTreeShop
      @TheTreeShop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My FAE all day long. I’m waiting on a few things but I’m going to be dropping a knife sharpening video soon. Can get through all the knives in 5-10 minutes and on a single battery charge.
      The self sharpening knives on a gyrotrac are phenomenal. Just had a lot of repairs to make constantly with that head and I prefer the rugged reliability of the FAE. And the FAE processes larger diameter debris easier and at a cooler hydraulic temperature.

      @@TheTreeShop great info thanks for the feed back. Look forward to seeing your vid. Im using a 7-9” grinder with a generator on the truck. Using a fresh new sanding disc each sharpening seems to help some. I try to sharpen mine daily. These machines feel like they have another 20 horsepower with new knives.

      @WeGoOutdoors we use to sharpen daily but and yes it does help alot on smaller machines but you go through the teeth 50% faster it seems.
      I buy pallets at a time

      @@allamericanlandclearing6577 losing 50% life span on a set of knives indicates that you are sharpening incorrectly. My knives last longer when I’m more diligent and patient with sharpening. (Excluding the knives on the edge by the carbides)

    I have 16 years skid steer experience been looking at FAE 150 a 170 to put on high flow also looking at ASV135 / JD 335 / CASE 620 / BOBCAT T86 BUT THINK
    ASV 135 And FAE 170 COULD BE GOOD or JD 335 a FAE 170 or 150 have FAE DEALER not found ASV 135 DEALER IN ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

      The JD 335 is very interesting to me. I wouldn't buy an asv 135. The Fecon 135 has 10 hours of quality control pre delivery just to fix a bunch of little things on an ASV that fail often. For full size machines like this the 170 is the way to go. 150 heads are for 74hp machines or low flow machines I guess.

    Man that looks nice. Texas and Florida y’all mulch bushes lol. I bet it’s so easy and not hard on the machine. In Arkansas we are mulching hardwood trees. Super hard on the machine. Oak, gum, pine, you name it. But it’s always big ass trees. Skid Mulchers can barely handle it.
    I wish I was mulching small bushes every day like you guys. We charge 2500$ a day. What are you charging?

    • @TheTreeShop
      @TheTreeShop  ปีที่แล้ว

      😂😂 small bushes. I’d rather chew on an oak all day than fight palms and palmettos.
      But I get what you’re saying. Anywhere there is a defined winter the trees will grow harder. Skid steers have a place but so do dedicated machines. $2500 a day is par for the country.
