Very nice very mellow feel. Always great to have videos In the morning, well any time of day. The rush this morning overrides the mellow here but enjoying them both and comments. Have a great day. Take care. 🙏🙏🙏
I think the whole song is an acid trip, and was typical of the times. I love the original, it's very nostalgic to me. But I love John's version. His interpretation of the lyrics of a song is always spot on, and then you have his voice !!!!
@@joanmonaghan8428 that’s how I describe it as well! Nostalgia for the first one (and acid trips) and amazement of the second one! Thanks for watching and your comment Joan!
Great request Jayne and thank you ACL for your lovely reaction as always 😊❤❤ This song really draws you in even though I really don't know what it is about 😂 I like both versions, but as usual, Farnsey brings it home, making it his ❤ I know I suggested That's What Love Will Make You Do for John previously, but can't remember if I told you he has also done covers of Wind Beneath My Wings and You'll Never Walk Alone..? If you would like to listen to any of those two, please add them to your list. I think you will enjoy 😊 Thanks ACL, keep up the fantastic videos and your love of all things music 😊❤❤ 💀 Hey to Bonesy too 👋
@@AnnieD.1982 John's version of 'wind beneath my wings' came after fellow Aussie, Colleen Hewitt recorded it and 2 years before it was a hit for Bette Midler. I think Kamahl recorded it first on one of his albums, but Colleen's version made the charts.
@@Jojomac-ix7oi Oh, of course. I forgot about that. That movie was big at the time so it makes sense. Still think John's version blows hers out of the water though 😁 Goodnight Jojo. Catch you again soon no doubt ❤️

Jayne does it again. Gary and John provide two nice vocal performances. In John's version the strings really bring out the melody's classical roots. I know the song, I just can't spit it out. One of the three B, Vivaldi? I repost at 4 am when it comes to me. I enjoyed this very much. The long, collerless shirt is called a Nero if you wish to go shopping. Jeff and Jayne did very well here, thanks🤠
@@jeffkerr4861 I want a Nero! We have a sixties clothing shop here so I’m going to buy one, unless I can’t afford it. I did love the strings in JFs version and have always loved the organ part! But the strings were ear candy to me. Thanks as always JK

I love both versions. Grew up with this song and when I heard John sing it, I played it over and over again...not just because of the nostalgia, but because when John sings, my heart goes into meltdown. He has a voice that can make you like any song he sings. Thanks heaps for your reaction. ❤
Love this version by John - the original is great as well. I didn't even know John did it until I saw Dr_Kap's remastered version a few months ago. His voice is just a storytelling voice with perfect diction and emotion. Thank you for reacting to our John 🥰
Loved this John takes it up a notch with the vocals that’s for sure. Please consider doing who’s loving you . Jack Keon 5 and John Farnham (John’s singing live at his 50 th birthday with human nature)❤❤❤
Of course I had the album (33 1/3! I updated) by Procol Harum and I admit I was never quite sure what a whiter shade of pale meant!! But the music was cool! John held his own on this one!!

Have always loved the original. I find the video disturbing because it's bad miming and i guess my expectations are that videos be a live performance or a performance of a purposeful sort other than half-arsed miming. Damn I'm cranky. I respect that Farnham was holding back to respect the song rather than just showboat. He did a good reinterpretation that was still close to the original.
