There's actually alot of countries where its pretty warm during Christmas. Australia, the Caribbean, various South American countries, etc. so the beach theme is nice to me, its different. Where I live its always hot.

Finally an advent calendar the Australian children can enjoy because it's summer themed. I would have loved a summer themed calendar as a kid, I was so confused when everything was about snow and the cold during Christmas as a younglin. Hopefully they sell these down here
As someone who cares nada about high fashion, I'm always drawn to cuts, silhouettes and whether it looks flattering on the doll which makes it so funny when you say "it's out of date etc." cause I'm like "so? it looks nice" x'D Love your videos, just makes me feel really out of touch!
Yeah like I can only afford expensive like top brand clothes if it’s on sale or at Burlington so most of my clothes are definitely out of date yet they still look good on me and that matters most.
I don’t get it why everyone hates those plastic accessories? When we were little kids with my sister, we treasured these tiny little pieces of plastic so much because they were opening so much possibilities to play. Omg I remember little dishes, champagne glasses, necklaces and omg shoes, there was never enough of shoes 😄
I feel like the main reason Barbie is bombing so hard is because she’s so generic. She’s so plain and out of date. Mom clothes. It worked when they didn’t have any big competition but now there are like 5 other big doll lines to compete with INCLUDING THEIR OWN (monster high etc) They need new designers desperately and to bump up the quality where they can.
Definitely!! Her style is super outdated and tacky because Mattel doesn’t want to take any risks. If they dressed her more trendy like LOL dolls it could get backlash for being too ‘grown up’ but she already looks like that from her mom clothes haha

Knowing how MGA uses packaging, it's really fun to think about what a rainbow high advent calendar or even an omg calendar would look like. It'd think it'd be similar to how barbie does it, but having the last surprise be a rip off of the front portion to show like a wardrobe or clothing rack, and the doll could be an icy type doll and be the better Gabriella.
I'm surprised to see that this one is actually not that bad, I was already expecting something like from the 2020 in the terms of quality but this one is quite nice. I do love her jacket the most and that black shoes along with the necklace and the orange dress combination. Pretty amazed at this one after how many cheap attempt I've seen from Barbie lately, quite refreshing although the theme is pretty off with the actual purpose.

Would be indeed nice to have some christmas/winter elements, like a scarf, a sweater, some boots, instead of the many bags...but I think this would be too expensive.

Maybe it’s supposed to be like a sort of Holiday getaway like when you go to Disney World it’s summer over there yet they still treat it like Christmas anywhere else

it feels like mattel has a bunch of extra materials by the end of the year that they just throw into these and they turn out garbage every year. i’m honestly surprised mattel has survived this long dressing barbie in the same leopard print outfit that doesn’t match with 40 small plastic accessories that no child would care for (I wouldn’t have anyway) and no articulation. It’s a shame because I love barbie and I just wish they would do better.
Yes ! This whole advent calendar is seriously very sad and just thrown all together bc of budget reasons and they had extra stuff. No cohesiveness what so ever ! Very sad of Mattel !

I loved! I feel represented. I also spend Christmas at the beach. We enjoyed the holiday of Jesus' birth with the whole family on the coast. In the region where I live here in Brazil, as is the vacation period at this time. We stay until New Year's parties.

I think the fact that the fashion is summer-themed means that hopefully, the child will not get bored of the doll after December. This is the right way to go.
I have never heard of opening an entire advent calendar in one go bringing bad luck. I just assumed it took all the fun out of opening one per day!
I'm a brazilian person, i'm from the Southern hemisphere, and here christmas is on summer so... i think is fair that we can have the spotlight on us too, our version of christmas.

I hate how Barbie doesn’t do full articulation for the price seeing how she is not articulated is already a big turn off😭😭😭
This was a decent set but take a shot every time he says there is another bag lmao. Too many bags. Would have preferred 1 other necklace at least or just something else for a couple of the uglier bags. I really enjoyed this and watching you has made me get into dolls again.

Yeah the theme is odd to me too, also there's a budget Barbie from a year or so ago that comes in a potato sack dress that's the exact same fabric as her top and I hate it 😂 awful pattern. I don't think these calenders are worth the price.

Summer Christmas Barbie is awesome actually. Really different. I think they want to distance themselves from saturnalia and get a bit more of a Latino vibe to barbie. She's even tanned.

I liked the 2019 version of Barbie Christmas advent calendar and i kind relate this version of a summery vibe me and my family always went to the beach everytime my aunt comes home from U,S, every Christmas btw NICE VIDEO ❤️
The Southernmost part of the U.S. (like Florida) is warm in the winter but I agree with you. It doesn't seem to give off much of a Christmas vibe. Strike 1! I don't love the Barbie. I feel like the blonde barbie's are a dime a dozen at this point and she's not even a MTM for that price. Strike 2! ☹ So, I do like that last sparkly dress you had her in and the two pairs of shoes. Oh, the black shiny jacket looked pretty cool too. But I don't like any of the other plastic bags, starfish, and whatnot in that box. Those things along with the price point here in the U.S ($29.99) and it's just not worth it to me. Strike 3! 😥😥😥 What a great idea and concept though. I want Mattel to keep doing it but I want them to do it better. I mean, really, with great Barbie power comes great responsibility. Who wants to be a mediocre company, Mattel?????

The best items are the orange/pink dress and the black jacket. I bought the 2019 Advent Calendar Barbie in mid December on clearance at Aldi. I paid $12 for the whole set that was originally $30.

I hate to say Barbie's quality is so cheap now. I'm really disappointed with how the doll line is just skimping along like they just don't care anymore. The only thing I liked was the jacket and black sunglasses, and maybe the orange dress. Getting so tired of pink and purple added to everything, too. Maybe I am just spoiled because I grew up when Barbie had high quality, attention to detail, wonderful face molds/paints, nicer hair and tapered fashions. Like, remember when Barbie's bags weren't made of plastic but actual fabric? Real pockets instead of printed on ones? Softer hair that didn't look so shiny and cheap like it does now?
Well, summer is also appropriated for Christmas, since Christmas is on summer in many countries, including mine. There's no hot chocolate, sweaters, snow, cold weather, etc... it is beach and sun EVEY YEAR!

Why the beach you ask. Obviously this is Barbie spending Christmas in Malibu. 😎 Nothing odder than seeing palm trees and cacti wrapped in Christmas pine and holly branches. But, it happens for Christmas in Southern Cal!
I've asked for a couple of the rainbow high slumber party dolls....they're so cute but a liiiiitle too pricy, so my dad can buy them lol. Also the holiday Rapunzel doll from the Disney Store
It even isn't available in Australia. We have a stupid Dreamtopia one. We can buy online but it's $60AUD compared to $35AUD for the Dreamtopia one. This summer beach one would make sense to release in countries that celebrate Christmas in summer. I may consider getting it so that my #styleBarbie has more clothes to wear

Barbie it’s a rich girl, she probably won’t be spending her Christmas in a cold place. She might go to Brazil, or the Caribbean.
I think it would be nice if each year the change the “theme” so her advent calendar it’s about traveling, maybe next year it’s Japan or India. It would be really cool

Well Christmas happens over summer in the Southern Hemisphere so it's very Christmas-y actually. Going to the beach is a popular Christmas event in South Africa as well.

Honestly you complain about most of these gifts but any little girl would be appreciative of all this!!!!! Instead of knocking everything in this advent calendar look at it through the eyes of a child!
I heard in some of your videos in which you said that liv dolls are bizarre kind of dolls but I suggest you try to take any of liv dolls.....I am also a doll collector and I customize their dresses a lot and I love articulation like you like but when I purchased a liv doll and customize her make up a little and she is above all dolls ,her quality body ,very very pretty eyes,but only thing I want from them that I should have rooted hairs but yeah thats what I wanna tell you ....I lost interest in Barbies n even Disney dolls because I purchased new Rapunzel vanity wardrobe set and I don't like her body at all not fully articulated and very small feet...... weird. Then I bought Flynn and his body is pathetic ,worse I don't know how to condemn his body then I changed their bodies and now they are looking nice.

They need to lower the price by $5 at least. Too many bags for the $30 they want. I'd spend that on one of the bigger Barbie Extra sets and make my own advent for my non existent child. The dress is nice, the print goes all the way around for once.
