This one actually had me going back to the feeling I got from Harry Potter as a kid. I might have to treat myself to this simply for the nostalgia factor alone. It reminded me of the 2000s Mattel dolls they used to make that I loved as a little girl 🥺
Being 59 next week I don’t think I will be enjoying this calendar, but watching the sheer joy and 8 yo Cherry come out was bliss. Love, love, love when a person displays their inner child in such an infectious, joyous and honest way. Thanks, Mattel, for creating such a bang on calendar that so many will enjoy hours of playtime with or displays that are detailed beyond belief! Thanks also, Cherry, for putting a smile in my heart.
This is such a creative idea for an advent calendar and that chocolate frog is precious! As an HP collector, I would even have been willing to pay more if it meant some of the props were higher quality, but overall still such a fun calendar. Thank you for treating us to a whole month of advent calendar unboxings, Cherry❣️Btw, love your holly hair clip.
I think things being a bit cheap is fine, as the product is definitely as a toy. It has a really nostalgic feeling to it, which I think really fits the whimsical feel the first two years have always had to them

What a lovely calendar except for the "books". I was skeptical at first because of the doll as dolls usually look weird (to me) and not like the actual character but this one's blown me away. I was impressed how much it looked like Daniel Radcliffe when you took the glasses off. This calendar was definitely a good start!!! 👏😍💖
I've been scrolling back through the comments but haven't seen one about the books, I think they 'close' the other way and that the little hook thing on the side is just so harry and hold it.
If this calendar had come out 20 years ago and my parents had given it to me, I would have been the happiest child on the whole world . And definitely the most popular child in our entire village😂😂
I LOVE this!! The books could have been actual little books and I wish the cardboard pieces were made of fabric and plastic, but other then that I’m in love. I wish they had Luna, Hermione and Ron ones as well! A Luna one would be so fun!

This is a good calendar! Whilst budget friendly it wasnt repeatable and each item was something you can relate to harry. Take me back to 2001 where my 10 year old self would have spent hours playing with this. I love the butterbear and fizzing whizbee.
This is so cool! It‘s Ken turned Harry Potter with all the Hogwarts-Barbie accessories! The books are disappointing, but the rest is great! It all goes together and has the kids in mind! No scrunchies, tape measures or lanyards, but actual toys that they can play with!
This is such a cool advent calendar. Every door was really something wonderful you can enjoy! No useless in-between stuff to make it cheaper. If I would be a Happy Potter fan and someone would gift that to me, I would flip out. This would really make the days till christmas amazing and wishing the next day comes sooner so you can open the next door :) I wish there was something with that amazing quality for Babrie or Cyberpunk.
Cherry, you didn't put it together for us! I was expecting to see some cool scenes of Harry sipping his butterbeer on the decorated Gryffindor common room wearing his invisibility cloak! Missed opportunity there, mate! It was an awesome box, I so want to play with it, 34 years old and all.
When you think of the amount of house themed bubble baths (is there anyone who isn’t allergic?), pencils, key rings and other assorted tat that have been in other calendars over the years the comparative value of this one looks even better. Yes the books were rubbish, but least the cheaper cardboard items fit the set. Impressive art work too. One to beat.

I've had to work long days this week, so I will admit I started watching today's video (day 4) and worked my way back to this one and I have to say, the potions calendar *wishes* it could have been this good! I think the other advent calendars need to take a page out of Mattel's book next year!😅

That is a very good looking doll. I'm so impressed with the face. Proper job to the artist who did the face sculpt. Overall that looks like a very fun playset and good value for the money. I love this one.

I have been watching these out of order so I ended up watching the potion calendar video first. I have to say that this was so much better when it comes to the items. I think I'm going to get this for me lol. If I end up finding it in here. For the price it really delivered. And I can see few dyi projects coming up, specially when it comes to the books.
omg this advent calendar was awesome! It seems like all of the other ones I've watched, she is always disappointed, esp. the Cinereplica ones or that awful crystal ornament one! I LOVE the scenery on the box on the back and that you can set everything up when you're all done!!!! Totally worth it!
Hi Cherry, hope you are well :) The little pieces in this calendar are amazing, would be awesome if they released sets of just the scenery and misc items (imagine if they did a set like this, but with enough mini-pieces to make a full set of the Great Hall at Christmas ^^ (would need a mini-Dobby wearing a Weasley jumper though) or even better imagine a village set for Hogsmeade to display at Christmastime ^^ Kind regards, Adam C
It would be amazing if they did a calender for each house and you build your own doll. Like buy a Ravenclaw calender with a gender neutral doll and for the next 24 days you get stuff like (wigs, pants, skirts and extras) to make a collage of yourself going to hogwarts :)
This was a very fun advent. Aimed at younger ones but hey, whats not to enjoy. I know you have worked hard to creare the videos. 33 quid sounds very reasonable for the content. Thanks. Really looking forward to your advent openings. Am so excited
What a banger to start the advent calender series! I am sixty-six and I would love this set to play with. But I have the Mattel five doll set already, so Harry would be redundant. Book covers come in all kinds of colors if you remove the dust jackets, but I do think a cover stickers would have been nice. A great calender for any HP fan!

Those books aren't suppose to close, they're just props for Harry to use and the "latch" is actually where his hand goes.
