Gordon I'd much rather have Sterling as our RB and defending properly as a solid WB as opposed to Tav who was crap at defending EVERY SEASON too, it's not like his defending got Better. Tav has GREAT numbers but that'd Only be BRILLIANT If he was a midfielder. Now with Sterling against the BETTER teams we can hopefully LOOK to Mids , Wingers and PROPER Strikers scoring the goals and assists that Tav brought us..... like a Proper football team does. Not really up to you to decide that is it? The financial gurus from Govan were punting Kent, Morelos and Barisic for £50million combined. Didn’t get a copper for the three of them combined.
All the players up here get big price tags after showing good form but very few go on to prove it in a better league. O'Riley is decent but not worth 25 million in my opinion.

Wanyama, Ki, Van Dijk, Forster, Tierney, all huge successes for at least one and in many cases multiple Premier League clubs. Tierneys injury record kept him back.
McGeady was a huge success in Russia, and for Everton. Eduoard has done ok. Dembele scored a goal every 2 games for Lyon and won La Liga with Atletico Madrid.
