What a fantastic presentation! Bob has the ability to explain complex systems without ever sounding patronising. I suspect it might be to do with his earnest and child-like enthusiam for X-Particles! Props to Insydium for producing the sheer amount of content they do. As amazing as their reputation is, this was definitely a strong motivator for me taking the plunge with X-Particles and Cycles 4D. Please keep 'em coming!
This is super cool. As an amateur Blender user, I always like to see what the other options out there can do. Being able to create these two demos inside of an hour is remarkable. Also, doing it all from a laptop! Fantastic!
Brilliant tutorial Bob, thanks very much for posting it. Can anyone point me in the right direction with how to add the lighting in the infectio tutorial pls? Only had x-particles for a week and still trying to figure it all out. Thanks.
Bob, the building's Infectio effect is just what I'm looking for, but I'm not able to match the example. I found the Infectio Outlines file example in the Repository, but the lines are static and don't dance and shimmer the way your example does. Is there a tutorial on how to get that effect with Cycles or a simple enough tip that you could share?
for the very first example: when I try to recreate it, I get a jitter on the particles on collision that never quits once I add the fluidFX object. The only solution seems to be to eliminate 100% of the bounce from the collision tag. What am I doing wrong? I literally watched the video and emulated every step you took.

When trying to recreate the splash sequence, the falling particles push down the floor plane with the impact (even without gravity applied), why doesn't that happen in this presentation?
One thing I tried was making the plane bigger and bigger. With this, the outer particles of the plane will not move. It makes sense according to the xpDynamics workflow. You can also add more and more polygons to the plane, so the constraint will have more info to work with.
if you don't exclude the xpEmitter_Dynamics from the connect objects collider tag the plane seems to stay in place however the cache time increases exponentially.
i did this splash tutorial and everthing worked fine until the final render. first of all the spill animation is not the same as the preview one with all the same settings. Second thing, the liquid spills inside the plane eventhough it has de collider tab activated. Anyone can help?
Issuer: MATRIX FREEZE? ok, everything was going fantastically until @21:00 when I add the MATRIX in, the deforming of the plane completely freezes and stops. Anyone have any thoughts as to why this might be happening? The cached fluid system still happens, but the plane deforming completely stops. Note that after adding the Matrix, I chose object and then used the connect object
The Matrix reads from top to bottom so if there is nothing above it, it will just stick in place. Put it last in the hierarchy and it should work. Literally just found this out moments ago.
Amazing presentation Bob. Your teaching style and enthusiasm are first class!
So happy I got to meet you at NAB 2019.
Insydium is the reason why I didn't switch to Houdini FX after all.

Man, you are such a pedagogue! Thank you once more for all the hard work that is put into Xparticles and Cycles, and for your amazing presentations!
Bob Walmsley on a Monday! just what i need to get this week going.

David Tennant gives the best presentations...
MEGA! Bob is incredible! Thank you!!
Thanks Bob, you're the best!
Really fantastic presentation
I was waiting for presentation for a long time :)
Hey Insydium, what do they call Bob down at the shop?
Preacher Man? The Masterful One? Particle Prime?
Thanks Bob.

The effect of Cinema4D and X-Particles on my brain is equal to Chocolate Chip Cookie
Fantastic work !!!!
Superb!

some particles leaked to the other side of the plane. why did that happen?
Fantastic
love the simplicity of this demo!
Thx! Master!
Love watching these videos! You guys created an amazing tool!
Insydium i love you.

great Presentation, i loved it :)
Great presentation! Would love to access some of these scenes from the content repository.
Where's a good place to UL things we've made as a result of this training stuff?
When trying to recreate the splash sequence, the falling particles push down the floor plane with the impact (even without gravity applied), why doesn't that happen in this presentation?
The same happens to me. It seems that this effect works only for a very short sequence...
One thing I tried was making the plane bigger and bigger. With this, the outer particles of the plane will not move. It makes sense according to the xpDynamics workflow. You can also add more and more polygons to the plane, so the constraint will have more info to work with.

still no GPU integration? means still slower sims...

Try increasing the substeps in X-Particles tab inside c4d project settings
for a beginner to learn and render out using V-ray? what is the limitation? using trial version (X-particles)
Just can not cache .
@@elysiumeclogue5737 thank you

@@GameDZINer530 Thanks Tyrone!!!! Just getting back to this one :) Been a long 6 months no doubt!
Can anybody help me figure out how to put render the matrix object on Octane Render?

pretty good , but x-particles was too expensive
