Ive been trying to simulate ssomething similar forever for example toppings but for some reason if I use a generator I can get it to stick on the outside and inside but sometimes the particles disappear and reappear randomly
HI Teleport! I always use Octane to render these and because not everyone has access to the plugin, I don't always go through the process (as it's often the same steps each time). If you want to see exactly how I've done the lighting and texturing, all the final render ready project files (which include all the lighting, materials and render settings) can be downloaded from our website: cgshortcuts.com/product/honey/ or our Patreon page: www.patreon.com/cgshortcuts . We also have an in-depth course about lighting, texturing and rendering here cgshortcuts.com/product/the-ultimate-octane-masterclass/ ;) Thanks for watching!
I agree the Houdini indie price is amazing but Houdini takes a lot more time to learn than X Particles. Like, way way way more. Some C4D users just wanna do some cool particle stuff. I do wish XP and C4D were cheaper though. And I wish Maxon didn't scrap Houdini Engine for C4D.
I just signed up for a year on Skillshare, looking forward to any CG shortcut tutorials there. Thanks for the tut.
Good stuff David! We'll actually be leaving Skillshare soon though and just have everything on our website cgshortcuts.com;)
Great tutorial, really hope to see more xparticles stuff from you guys as it's just straite to the point and makes sense 👍
Cheers Matt, there's definitely more on the way;)
FAN-TAS-TIC👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
No worries, loads more tutorials and C4D resources at cgshortcuts.com
Thank u very much ... Dave, as usual useful tutorial. Is it possible to do folding high viscous chocolate in xparticle? Please answer
No problem. You can definitely achieve that in X-Particles!
Wow. Looks amazing!
Cheers Rob!
Nice!
Amazing tutorial mate. I learned a while ago bubbles have swapped surface normals. Try it.
Really, I'll have to give it a try, thanks sjoerd!
Bonza Mate!!
Fair dinkum!!

I believe particle disappearing might be due to low Subframe Steps, play with higher values.
@@sicfxmusic ohhhhhhhh okay I’ll try that out thanks!
@@sicfxmusic You're right on the money there I think Staysic!
@@CGShortcuts can you guys do one but as ice cream with like a star shape? I find it vastly harder to do lol

Hey, great tutorial. Please do a 3D text tutorial with a gold/metal effect for example, no good tutorials are available on this topic
Great idea! We'll add it to the list;)
anybody here who can tell me how to download x particles latest version for free please?
its not free, there might be a demo though
It blows my mind that anyone would buy xparticles and waste their time learning how to use it when Houdini indie exists
Wait, never think of this🤔 you just helped me lol thanks though
This right here.

I hear you, but if you want quick easy particles right there inside c4d, you cant beat XP;)
