Loved watching that it was so fun , and the reason that I searched for a video as urs because of studying it as a plant science student in college, thanks for telling us and describe it ❤
Guys, Northeast Asians don't eat the fruit. You eat the seed ie. the nut. Eating the fruit is like eating pecan husk! They are a bit expensive Japan, but are delicious and used in stuffings with rice.
fun fact they arent even fruits, since they are gymnosperms, the fruit is a fleshy englarged outer seedcoats, ginkgos are also the only species in its entire order

Thanks for watching! I have heard the dried leaves make a pleasant tea. I'll pass on the fruit! ;)
This is hilarious ! Thanks for the laugh. You are brave.
That was a WILD fruit. Definitely unforgettable. Lolol
Astringent the nuts are edible, I believe. Doublecheck
You're correct! I tried roasting them last year. Not too bad!
Omg you're brave. I hate the way those smell imagine me trying to eat one. I did not know you could eat the orange flesh part .
I enjoy an adventure but will not be eating the fleshy part again anytime soon. 🤣🤣🤣

The pecan husk is a great analogy! I will be sure to try the nuts this next growing season.
Not every fruit is edible.
I love Ginko leaves, never actually had the fruit!!
Me neither. It was a fun experience
@@Rootedskyhomestead Loved your honest reaction to the taste! Loved your facial expressions for sure!!!
What is Ginkgo like? Like a Durian wrapped around a Pistachio.
I haven't tried the seeds yet. Next on my list :)
Oh my god! That is a brilliant comparison!👍

That is a fun fact! I had to look up gymnosperms which was a fun read. :)
They are pines that evolved leaves instead of needles.
@@Doom2pro ginkgos aren’t exactly pines because they aren’t in the connifer order while ginkgos are in the ginkgo order
You are incredibly brave, or have no sense of smell.
Lol! I will try most things within reason once. I am all good on Gingko fruits. 😆 🤣
I have only smelled them, so I can’t imagine eating them.
I am not that brave!
The chemical in the fruit is a good way to end up in the hospital for eating poop fruit
...poo & vomit...
😅😅😅 with a hint of sweetness. Lolol
...sweet...
