It used to be called Whitewater Trout Farm, the two rock lined ponds were stocked with trout that were being bred behind what is now the visitor building. You would show up, rent a pole and catch fish, take them into that building and the guys would weigh, kill, and clean the fish, put them in a box and you would go home with fresh fish for dinner. My first summer job that didn't involve working for my dad was being one of the guys who cleaned and boxed the fish, made the bait, cleaned up, fed the fish in the two ponds, it was pretty fun. Before I worked there my family would go there to spend the day in the summer, it was more like a big park then with grass and some playground equipment, a good place to get out of the heat.

Closed due to fire danger as of 8/16/23 though river is flowing great.quite controlling complete with security to make certain no one slows down.
