You could have negated the rain entirely with the Froggy armor. With two upgrades, the set bonus completely prevents all slipping. Chug a level 3 speed potion, max out your Endura meals for the two bonus stamina wheels, and swap from the Climbing set to the Froggy armor whenever it rains. I bet it’s possible!
Unfortunately I do not have the Froggy armor and I hear it takes a long time to get lol It def would have helped with rain, but wearing it would also make me go slower which would cause me to run out of stamina faster. So I still think it's not possible

Not moving during rain doesn't make you slip so you can just wait until it stops. No armor makes stamina burn faster or slower for a given distance climbed as far as I know. Not sure any of thos would make any difference for this challenge

Stamina consumption increases linearly with climb speed, so while Ravio's Hood would make him go significantly faster, it would not change the distance the same amount of stamina would carry him.
So the climbing armour only increases climb speed, it doesnt reduce stamnia used. When its armour level 2 it reduces jump stamina but not regular stamina. Jumping is still more energy inefficient then regular climbing. For the raining part. The frog armour at level 2 has a full slip immunity. This combined with a max level 3 hasty potion moves it at the same speed as full clinbing gear set. Other things to note: A hasty level 3 potion cant stack with the climbing gear but every potion used is less stamina slots. The steeper the slope is the more stamina used when climbing. We need everyrhing we can get so want to stay leaning as far forward as possible. All of the stamina restoring meals should be giving the full two extra wheels ro maximise potential I believe the optimal play is to start on the right side of the map in froggy armour. Eat one staminia boosting meal and have 1 hasty 3 potion and the rest max stamina food. (4 fleet lotus seeds and a dragon part gives a 30 minute effect for the pottion. ) Drink the potion and use a portable cooking pot to fill the last slots again with food. Ideally this gets you through all the rain section at the max speed but if its not raining the gear can always be switched to the regular climbing gear Then just persevere through the rest of the map. Swapping to the cold gear if needed or just eating 100 apples to our heal the damage If optomized i do truly think its possible to make it the whole way. Just a very long and slow climb
Oh wow I had no idea that steeper slopes made stamina drain faster! Unfortunately that sucks because staying on a less steep slope has a higher chance of link stopping climbing which was a lot harder to avoid than I expected. I'm still not fully convinced its possible, even with the perfect set up due to running out of stamina. And if it is possible, it will be extremely difficult to climb for 3 hours straight without accidentally having link stop his climb

I know the Zora Armor set bonus makes it to where dashing is more stamina-efficient than regular swimming, but I don't know if that's true for jumping with the Climbing Armor set bonus as well. Stamina consumption scales with climb speed, so while Ravio's Hood and the Climbing Armor make you go the fastest, equipping different armor would not decrease the distance you could climb. You might be able to make it with proper use of the upgraded Froggy Armor to avoid losing stamina to rain. (Complete Penn's Side Adventures at each stable to get it as a reward from the Lucky Clover Gazette, then it's very easy to upgrade.) Additionally, be careful in minimizing how far up/down you have to climb, as while climbing down has the same stamina loss rate as sideways, climbing slightly up increases your stamina consumption rate by a little; climbing any direction except directly horizontal also increases distance climbed and therefore stamina consumed. This adds up more than you would think.

I was hoping to get into the eldin region before it would rain since it doesn't rain in that region. Sitting still doesn't really make the most entertaining content lol
@@247MrNiceguy a meal with 5 endura carrots would get you 1 and 1/2 more bonus stamina wheels than a meal with only one. Assuming you have all 60 meal slots filled with 5 endura carrot meals than you will gain an additional 90 stamina wheels. Also as a cliff gets steeper you lose more stamina, so you would want to try to aim for the most gentle slope that you can still climb on. Combining the two methods together and I feel you would at least make it very close to the edge.
I always keep a weapon with a ruby attached to it as well as a weapon with a sapphire attached to it just so that if I'm navigating a cold or hot environment and want to keep my currently equipped armor I can just use those to heat or cool myself. It's only by one level, but that's usually enough. As long as I'm just navigating instead of fighting it's fine. (I would also mention the Froggy Armor, but plenty of comments already have. That was actually one of the earliest full sets of special armor I got, as well as the first armor I upgraded to maximum level.)
yeah I pretty much always had a ruby fused to my shield for the same reason through my entire playthrough but for some reason completely forgot when recording this 💀
Get across the map without touching the floor (no paraglider allowed) so when you get to the other side, you can void out yourself and you'll respawn at the start. You can use zonai devices and stuff.
yeah I was thinking of doing something like that so I can make the straightest line across hyrule thanks to the heroes path creating a straight line when I respawn
You don’t need warm pants for warmth in Hebra. Just fuse a ruby to a shield (and equip that shield), that’ll keep you warm. Sapphires fused to shields will keep you cool.
true I thought of that while editing. Not sure why I didn't think to do that because I normally always keep a ruby shield in my inventory for cold places

(for next time ) if you go to the stable under death mountain that Beetle has the best stuff ( harty lizards and really good stamina food) so if you duplicate diamonds you can sell them what i do i buy all Beetles harty food and stamina food (the stamina food gives stamina + ) then i go to the Grodo village sleep then do it all again also you should only full on sprint no stoping across Hyrule
Why dont you duplicate your carrots with mineru? 1. Drop every carrot to the ground until you only have 4 2. Climb on Mineru and press - to deactivate mineru. 3. Press + and hold all 4 carrots 4. Press - and watch a memory 2 Times 5. Press B 6. Throw 4 carrots. 7. Press + and put any other item to your 4 carrots 8. Now just Press B and drop the 4 carrots and the other item. You can duplicate 4 items at once.

Ravio's Hood increases your horizontal climb speed. Pair that with the other two parts of the climbing set and you should get a little farther.

did you try to get endura carrots at the places the great fairies were in botw? there are plenty of places where mutiple endura carrots are found.

Funny I did joke about doing that while I recorded this video but didn't include it in the video. Although I feel like it's cheating since I wouldn't actually be climbing, I'd just be holding onto the side of a wall

There's a better way (albeit a little more tricky) to duplicate items. You can get more than 20+ that way.
