What would you do?
I had a small interaction with Bink once, he didn't like that i believe Roc A Fella Records responsible for charging Just Blaze with the task of making beats similar to Bink!
I personally wouldn't do the "Make A Beat Like.." videos because I've seen a few creatives make them, and some of them were asked to remove them. I know you weren't trying to "Bite" and meant well, but just continue to Teach People using your own style, and I believe you'll be fine. God bless bro 🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Yeah, I am not doing it anymore. That’s not what God called me to do. God Bless you too 😎 !
@@CDMESD Bro.. you have a gift, you make great music, and you do a great job. Just continue to do your thing and teach them how Civil makes music, and that's good enough. Keep shining, keep your eyes on God, and don't worry about the numbers fam, He got you!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
You know what tha homie. This video Inspired me to wake up and get to the next level. I've been playing. I'm about to wake folks up with new sound.
No doubt bro! 😎 Now is the time.
As a new producer, I appreciate this video and your channel more than my words can say. I am not as good as I want to be with making beats so I do try to study the ones that I love and respect like, Jermaine Dupri, J. Dilla, Bink!, etc. Real talk I bought the Headhunters album because of Bink!'s Rhythm Roulette and "TRIBUTE" to J. Dilla.
Keep on bro. Don’t stop! We use those that have blazed a trail before us to learn and get better. We got to keep grinding and learning. Thank you for watching and commenting. Much respect. I respect Bink, Dilla, Premiere and many others who reached a level that some of us can only aspire to reach. I truly appreciate it.
Brother you have a great positive vibe about the situation you were face with… love the way you handle it simply take the video down and keep it moving. Nice of you to speak positive about Bink.!!
Thanks bro! You never know when you and someone might cross paths. Also, why get bothered over someone else’s work. Just keep it pushing is my motto. Thanks again for watching and commenting.
He learned from someone and was influenced by other's but i take my hat off to you for always pressing forward with a 😊 Some people? Question mark..
Thanks, Jazz! Hope I didn’t put a bullet on my back.
@CDMESD I don't think you did, Jfilt teaches the styles of other producers that influence him but it might just be that Blaze hasn't given prop to Bink for sound similar to him at time's but what you did would have helped him in many ways..
@@JazzMatic1967 Thanks Jazz! I just want people to learn and respect the past.
I’m a student of music and I’ve been making music for years and I want to learn ! From a great like bink I am serching TH-cam to find and learn to make music like bink , damn how sad
Yeah bro. He did not like it so. It’s cool.
Bink gotta problem with everyone
It seems that way. Thanks for watching the video and commenting.
My man, you out here dropping mad jewels!
Thanks bro! 😎 I had to tell the truth.
Great video bro! Nice!!!
Thanks bro!
Wow I am really taking back by this because I like Bink music and to hear this still tells me that there are still producers that really think 💭 like this and it saddens me. I thought that time of keeping stuff to yourself was gone but now I see because you showed him love. He took it as disrespect. I wonder what Teddy Riley would think knowing that the same person he showed how to produce his acting in this manner shame on you Bink real talk 👈🏾
We all learn from someone. As well, those are his records and I respect his wishes. On another note, Dilla recreated music from his favorite artists. Kanye did the same. The RZA ain’t mad at Kanye.
Newly subbed, happy that I found you. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge and agree with both sides of this. As a boom bap beatmaker I hear the influence of J Dilla in many of my fellow beatmakers styles. I do often wonder what J would think of so many trying to copy him.
I want to first thank you for subbing to the channel and subbing. I truly appreciate that. I see your point because I get upset at a lot of people who use Dilla style of production as a springboard to their careers. I also applaud everyone who loves his music and keeps the momentum of what he started going. It is refreshing to hear someone who uses elements of his influence to become a great artist. Like when Brian Michael Cox said he was listening to a lot of Dilla when he was producing for Little Mo! That was my jam by the way. Some stuff we can’t say. I never hear Big Daddy Kane say he was upset that Pun, Jay, Snoop, Biggie, and countless others use parts of his style. He applauds them. Also, we never know what is said behind closed doors. All in all, I agree with you.
I think that "Type Beat" manuals have the right to exist for those who want to learn. There will be those that want to emulate the style "verbatum" as Bink would say, and then there are those who will take tips from your method and apply them to their own style.
I agree. I dont want people to copy his style. I want them to master an art like Kanye did and become better at creating music. I always played funky drummer when I was a kit until I learned to play better.
If I purchased something from him and used it in a video and he got mad about it I might say oh well. If you don't want nobody to sound like you then why the hell would you make sound kits available??!? That's a flag on the play! In fact I wouldn't endorse nobody to buy that kit if that's the case.
I hear you bro. I am going to leave it alone. I used the kit with one of the samples from his songs. The video was inspired by Me, Her, Him by Jay Z. I made the song using the kit and some Native Instruments plugins.
If someone asking you to take down a beat you made! Because it sound like them means that beat was a threat!!! And don’t be surprised if your beat got bitten now
I hear you bro. The beat was fire!
Well Bink should respect Mike Dean if that's his thinking.
I don’t know about that. I have never heard him talk about Mike Dean. Mike Dean is a beast of a producer.
@@CDMESD interesting... How did you miss the bed about beef about who produced devil in a new dress?
@@vinylselektaz6475 Really, I have to research that. I will be honest. I stopped listening to HipHop at that time.
Listen A LOT of these producers scan TH-cam looking for people making either making "type beats" or posting screen recordings of them on live making beats. I'm a fan of Bink if you know anything about Bink he doesn't like anyone who's sounds remotely similar and doesn't credit him as there inspiration. Which is kinda understandable.
I know and I understand your point. James Brown was mad at sampling until it started making him money. He released his own break beak for people to sample and started working with Full Force who were prominent R&B, hip-hop, producers, and performers of the 80s and early 90s.
He don't want people takin his style & I totally get it, however you're probably just about the only guy with a Bink beatmaking video. Maybe you not the only one got that message lol.
I cant judge because I didn't see the video
That is cool bro. I understand.
Has he ever acknowledged a video from you before or do y'all have a relationship? Does he even follow you? If not, I'd say do you, you weren't biting you were teaching and that's what keeps everyone growing. What if he gains few new fans/followers because you highlighted him, but you lose the work you put in?
I understand what you’re saying. At the same time that’s his perspective. No, we don’t have a relationship. I’m just trying to cater to beginner producers, but he feels is not the right thing to do.
@@CDMESD he corny for that. Having people trying to recreate you is a high form of flattery. Fear that anyone would be able to reach or surpass you because of a tutorial is indicative of insecurity to keep it a buck. There are thousands of how to __ like __ videos on the web. I appreciate that you were being respectful of the request but the principle of the request is very shaky
@@conniesometimes I hear you. That is his right. I wonder do the other producers on this platform get told to take done a video. I will say though that is his art. Thanks for the feedback.
Sooooooo how can you see this video off line lol?
You can’t bro. I got rid of it.
F’ Bink! Never heard of him anyway 🤷🏾♂️
I can understand how you feel. I don’t want you to hate him. Go listen to his music. He makes great music. The Ruler’s Back by JayZ. Thank you for your support.
I would’ve kept the video up. Bink a little insecure.
I think I am going to make an Inspired by Just Blaze video instead.
❤
💪🏽💪🏽
Very weak move everyone shares techniques. So what happens when it becomes a lost art. He was showed how to do things in music it wasn’t all him.
I think the same thing. Who will give you credit if the techniques and the artist are not discussed. We carry on traditions from communicating and passing the baton forward.
Weak move taking down the video…..
Thank you for your comment but I’m far from weak.
Get your own style
If you watch my videos, you see, I do have my own style. Let’s not speculate watch the freaking videos.
Pretty lame for Bink to do that. Its not biting, he learned from somebody
Yeah, I thought it would be a good thing to do but I’m not gonna do that anymore.
