Before you end this series please check the family trees of the pinned characters cause I’m really curious how many generations some of those trees lasted for and how many family members they had
a byzantine playthrough should be interesting!! i haven't touched the byzantines since the new DLC because the administrative government intimidates me with how complicated it looks. very much looking forward to see how you explain it as i find your explanations about how the game mechanics work very helpful!!
RE: Mongol split - interestingly, it looks like there's a wide assortment of religions among the different Mongol heirs. That usually takes slightly longer than it has in this campaign. On the plus side for you, it makes them a bit more likely to attack each other, at least in a generation or two. RE: New character's intrigue being bad - if you take Skullduggery focus and gain *one* more perk to get the Schemer trait, that will be a total of +8 (!) to intrigue, and suddenly their intrigue won't look so awful. RE: Things to do as your new character - since you're a member of the Ludolfinger dynasty you might well have some interesting claims (either on land or artifacts.) Plotting to regain your "rightful inheritance" sounds potentially interesting. Don't forget that you've already got Twice Schemed, so you can run at least two simultaneous hostile plots. If nothing else you can kidnap useful courtiers that wouldn't otherwise accept an invite. You're also unfaithful, so perhaps a side of seducing the wives of nearby kings is in order? And finally, as a drunkard, maybe there are some interesting interactions with the new brewmaster court position (I haven't played Catholic since they added it, so not sure.)

Sad that we couldn't use the elephants more, and I look forward for a byzantine playthrough for the coming new year.
