Great idea to curve the edges of the worktop to protect little heads. Please add this to the garage conversion playlist.

Fitting the worktop, undoubtedly, was the most pleasurable part of doing my kitchen. We did go for a 26mm thick. Well done mate!

Your channel is great Tim, I love the work that you're doing to help fellow DIY'ers - that's what it's all about at the end of the day. I'm not sure whether or not you've filmed the next part of this video yet, but It might be worth telling everyone about the various methods used to protect cut worktop edges from moisture? a beautiful job can so quickly be ruined if a cut worktop edge isn't protected from moisture ESPECIALLY around the sink area. My personal favourite technique is to use a high quality aluminium tape (3M) on all hidden cut faces. This helps protect against Oven/Hob heat and is totally moisture resistant. You can have that one for free!

Hi Tim, too late now,but while you had top upside down,if you had run the saw all the way along the top about 1/4 inch deep and set back approx 3/4in,it would have created a drip groove,so any water rolling down front edge would have dripped off before it reached the cabinet. You could have done same with router fitted with 1/4in bit, just a thought for next time.

Why round the corners off? Most of the lips underneath sinks have square corners no matter what the shape of sink and the overlap leaves a margin for error.

I have used those feestool tracksaw . When the blades dull its like hitting a cliff... one day they are perfect the next its like using a food blender Most tracksaw blades seem to get hotter quicker than standard circular saws I reckon its the enclosed blade guard... Still cant beat their versatility and usefulness Loving the the way its all coming together..

I’ve got the Mafell version of this saw. 90% of the time I use cheap Trend blades. For stuff like this I do pay extra for the genuine blades. I have found the blades tend to gum up when cutting man made boards. Oven cleaner is an easy way of getting rid of it.

Four marks it saves you time deducting 20 mm and doing another mark around your first make if you know what I mean , with years of fitting kitchens you always find the easier way to fit them correctly
