10:53 very creative lift technique. Took me a second to figure out what you were up to, then the lightbulb went on. Great video update. Cheers from Japan. 🌍
It’s been a great year with lots of ups and downs. I wish you all a very Happy New Year and wish all the very best for 2025. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out for all of us.
I’m surprised the Big Barn Build playlist hasn’t withered from exhaustion LOL!, as I’ve watched it so many times. Following every detail along the way.
Tim. I saw a guy recently light his interior work site, building a barn in the arctic circle who illuminated the project by using rolls of led lighting that stretched wherever he needed them. but dozens of yards at a time. Very effective.👍
Hi TRC, great videos as usual. Love the content. QQ though, do you have a tool list, things you would recommend? Especially things like the mobile tower that you’ve been using over the last few years when you were living in your old house
Putting up the beams was like reverse jengo 😂. Putting the studs outside the building to hold the sheeting, how do you get the wood to line up with the window opening when you can't see the window? 🤔
If you mean the secondary cladding wall, we will fit windows first and then frame it with the reveals. So membrane will have been cut and taped back by then.
@TheRestorationCouple I am talking about the thin strips of wood you put around the window. How do you put them in the right place when the sheet covers the opening.
Ah, you just run your hand over the membrane and the corner of the. opening leaves a small crease. There is enough give in the membrane to feel the edge of board as you batten
There are a few we know we are definitely having so they may be in next couple of months. Upstairs we will wait until windows are in and see how much need there is for them.

Your beard is coming on a treat Tim. Keep it going!!!
Edit: Ah, it's gone.
The wind blew it off!
@@TheRestorationCouple 😂
that router is made to go counter clockwise, works much better on openings
You always go against the direction of the bit, it's anti clockwise on the outer edge, clockwise on the inside edge.

What's the point on having a door?. Obviously to shut the door hole up Jo lol😂
When will you be fitting some Skylights in the roof. It won’t be so gloomy inside then.😊

It’s coming on nicely 👌Putting up the Beam with the ladders was a lot harder that it’s looks on video.
Why do you over engineer literally everything
