Today I'm finally sharing a HIGHLY requested video on this channel, and that's an InShot tutorial! This is my FAVORITE mobile app for editing reels on the go, outside of the Instagram app. When I need to edit clips together that I already filmed in my camera roll, most of the time, I use this app to piece them together! OMGGGGGGG...Thank you so much. I always use this app, but I definitely learned some key pointers that I was not doing for the videos such as using 9:16 and did not know about Epidemic Sound. And, how the adjustment is better with lighting full and warm, oppose to filters. This really helped me big time with those small few tweaks! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! I got inshot today and had my very first reel filmed, spliced, edited and DONE within 5 hours when I thought it would take days. And that 5 hours includes perfectionist freaking out and major changes. Yessss!!
(Edited to add: I'm on a several-years-old Android and the app looks the same and worked without a hitch. 😍)
I make Instagrams Reels and I believe the ratio 9x16 TikTok or 5x5 Apple ratio (if you are using captions) work best. 16x9 is best for TH-cam videos. Just saying cuz it does make a difference. But thank you so much for the info because I know you are trying to help and your good intent is very evident.

This was SO incredibly helpful! Thank you! I just finished editing my video with epidemic sound! It looks/sounds awesome except for one thing - how do I get rid of the blurry sides? I filmed everything vertically… should I have filmed everything horizontally on my iPhone? Stumped.

i have a question for ya ! how do i go about posting a video onto instagram reels with the video taking the entire screen ? i am recording in 1080p 9:16 !
however when ever i post the video is a lot smaller and theres blurred image on the side even though i cropped in inShot at 9:16 !
i have yet to purchase the pro version if that makes a difference !

I LOVED this. You make Instagram feel more approachable, thank you!! So this may be a silly question, how would you have put text on the video? You mentioned video timing in conjunction with text to keep it interesting. Would you add the text in the Instagram app? If so, how is that done? 😊

I edit all the time with InShot and I film in 4k and save 4k 60fps how comes you save 25fps? I some reason thought that would make the quality less when posting to your reels 🙈 thanks for sharing though!
this is SO good! Thank you for being so thorough. How would the music work if we want to use IG's trending music?
Sometimes I will record in the app (with the audio I've chosen playing), save the video (without audio) to my camera roll, edit inside of InShot, and then upload to IG again when I'm done!

Question, do you know any free editing app you can use to edit reels or any type of video from your phone
Also can you talk about doing a transition reel in InShot? Like would you have to layer the clips for it to match? Oh because you used Epidemic sound music do you need to add the description of the music in?

Hey Stephanie, love your videos! I saw you are cutting the video to fit the desired ratio. If I crop my photos/videos then I am loosing the view. This was a problem for Cupcut too. Somehow Instagram can make all different size photo & videos full screen in the reel but the apps cannot offer the same adjustment. They are only offering zoom in or cut. I hope I am missing something.
Make sure you set your dimensions to 1920x1080 to edit!

Hi! I’m trying to figure out how to make those quick reels with pictures only that go with the beat of an Instagram song. Any tips on how to do this?

@@StephanieKase I found that if you use CapCut you can import a song from a video off your phone. So I did a screen record of the Instagram song I like and extracted it within CapCut
Is there a way to bring music from reels, editing with that sound on InShot, and then uploading back to reels? I like to try and make the clips go along with the music.
the best way to sync to music is to edit within the IG app!

You'll have to record to the audio, save without the audio, edit in inshot, and then upload again and attach the audio as the last step!

Can someone explain what the difference is between inshot and capcut? I use capcut but I see most people use inshot? Export settings are the same right?
I'm not as familiar with capcut, but I think they serve very similar purposes!
