You can output DTS but no Imax flag apparently. The Imax Enhanced didnt activate my QM8s IE settings yet, but I'm pretty sure my bit rate is on the low side
@@magnoliamo yeah it's definitely confusing. What site said that? I have a few reasons why I think it's actually lower quality. There is no purestream setting. That is what you have to use on the TV's to make it go into high bitrate mode. The image quality is not great. I have seen it and Disney plus looks better imo. In the Sony PlayStation press release it didn't mention it at all. It actually says on the Press release you need a minimum of 9mbps for IMAX content. I can only see 2 articles that talk about the quality. But when they show the source it links to the bravia core website for the tvs. Idk how they missed this

It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison of movies played with a PS5 and Sony Pictures Core vs. other streaming services an perhaps an Apple TV.
Great question. I don’t have a way to test the max bitrate of the Bravia Core app. I know it is not currently outputting IMAX video or audio and therefore can’t be more than 15 MBPS
I dont own a kscape, but see its strengths. Their biggest strengths is the huge library and rate of new releases. If sony can even 75% keep up with kscape on those two fronts, library and releases, ill for sure support them and use their service. Its a no brainer. I saw the equalizer 3, and gran turismo, and no hard feelings. All 3 of those are very fairly new movies, still in theathers. So if sony can keep up that same pace throughout the year, and release movies that are this new, and actually still in movies, its their recipe to win.
For some reason, I'm having issues accessing the app on my PS5. I get a message telling me to turn off my VPN's or router software. I've never run into this problem before
You could play content and test the bitrate for us to know. Please 😊

Is the Dolby Atmos streamed over TrueHD or is it Dolby MAT like Apple TV or Netflix?
@@marcalvarado1915 great question. It is over Dolby digital plus and not Dolby TrueHd. That would be amazing if it was Dolby TrueHD stream.
Its not high bitrate on PlayStation. Only on some bravia tvs

i use a ps5 and dts logo is not visible, is there a setting that i have missed or has it been disabled?
Hi. Thanks for the comment. The IMAX DTS update is not out yet for the Sony Pictures Core App on the PS5. I’m hoping they release it soon.
