There are sometimes completely reasonable things you can only do with Anarchy though, the amount of space the game wants to clear above a road is far more than it really needs, and I've really got to minimize the slope for that pedestrian overpass for cyclists and wheelchair users.
The one true problem of city skylines is the traffic all wants to go IN ONE FUCKING LANE. Mainly because theres bugger all you can do to encourage them differently.
There’s a mod called TM:PE that fixes that, also comes with a bunch of other AI changes you can toggle in settings and intersection managers so you can manage where each lane is allowed to go, and rules, and customize traffic lights, and setup road rules like no parking, speed limit, etc. you can also setup yield signs and stuff the list of things it adds is too much to add here
Because the pathfinding means the fastest way to destination. If that's their route, they will not change it no matter what. If it's traffic with 100 cars lining up? Nahh, that's fine. (Leaving the other lanes completely open) Cities Skylines horrible traffic AI was what caused My power plants failing. Yeah, power plants. Which every of my services rely on. I don't even have a single wind turbine or solar panel! But luckily, the upcoming Cities Skylines 2 got that covered! 👍 Edit: No matter how hard I try to fix it, It won't work.

I try my best to make actually good cities. And I'm the kind of person that uses mods for realistic parking requirements, population density, rush hours, etc. I basically use CS as a form of wish fulfillment for an actually well designed city instead of whatever the fuck America is doing.
I remember that in order to unlock a super building, you literally need a high percentage of the population to be sick. So the game literally encourages you to pump sewage into your water supply temporarily.

I once did a city that had a sewage dam to produce power, and it actually kinda worked. I placed a few tourist attractions there as well, like a floating cafe and a pier.

I feel like city skylines would be easier if traffic ai wasn’t so bad. My city has around 50 thousand residents and the streets in some parts are like those videos you see of Indian cities intersections so traffic jam’s appears then garbage and bodies pile up since all of their vehicles are stuck in the traffic Edit; my city now has 100 thousand people and I have improved traffic flow
