    Nice tutorial, please do let me know, how to get rid of double voice coming from all the aux outputs? I use in-ear monitors and facing problems with double voice. Please guide

      hmm. I assume you mean you are getting an echo. Click on the Aux Sends Button at the top of the mixer screen. Select an Aux that has this echo and scroll to the right. If the FX2 DELAY slider is pushed up at all, pull it down. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

    Great series on the ui16 - thanks for this. Another in-ear monitor question - would you tend to go more Post DSP with IEMs where the risk of feedback is minimized?

      It certainly would be easier. The only problem could be that the DSP settings that are working out front might not be the best for the IEM. One band I work with has a vocalist that can sound very muddy out front. They use post DSP auxes. When I adjust this for the fronts, it makes him sound "tinny" in his IEM. You can use the graphic on the aux to try and correct this. It can be a real balancing act. Definitely worth a try, though.

      Do you have reverb on the singer in FOH?. That is, you are sending signal from the singer’s channel to the reverb. Is the reverb master up? If so, go to the singer’s AUX, scroll to the right until you see the reverb slider and adjust to taste. Be aware that the singer will also hear the reverb from any other channel you are sending to that reverb unit.

      @@lorenzo8293 FOH stands for "front of house". It's the PA speakers that are for the audience. Can you hear reverb on the singer from those speakers?

      @@TheGiggingGuitarPlayer yes! Out of the PA i can see the reverb, not in my aux

      Go to the main mix screen. Along the top you will see buttons. Hit the button that says 'AUXSENDS'. Along the top you will see AUX 1, AUX 2, AUX 3, etc. Select the AUX that is assigned to your singer. Scroll to the right until you see the slider for FX 1 REVERB. Make sure it is pushed up somewhat. Also be sure it is not muted. Plug your In-ear system into the output for that AUX. If you are hearing reverb on your singer in FOH, you should also now be hearing it in your in-ears. Push the slider up more if it is not enough.

    Can you do this for reverb? I like reverb on my voice. Where it doesn't effect the house mix?

    • @TheGiggingGuitarPlayer
      @TheGiggingGuitarPlayer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you asking about reverb in a monitor wedge or in-ears? You could only do that by dedicating one of the reverb units to monitors only. On the UI16 that would leave you with only one reverb unit for FOH.

      @TheGiggingGuitarPlayer  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blink70 The UI16 has two reverb units. You would have to dedicate one of those to just your in-ear mix, whatever Aux you are using, if you didn't want it in the front of house mix. You could still use it FOH, and it would have the same settings as in your Aux. That may not be a problem. If you are sending any other vocalist to this reverb unit, you would hear their reverb in your in-ears as well. Hope this helps.

    Why couldn’t you just EQ your guitars in the monitor?

    • @TheGiggingGuitarPlayer
      @TheGiggingGuitarPlayer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You also have vocals going into the monitor. When using pre DSP the only EQ you have is the graphic on the aux, so you need to find a curve that would work for both vocals and guitar. In my experience, vocals sound good in the wedges with very little EQ tweaking. That isn't the case for acoustic guitar.

    • @Johnsmusic416
      @Johnsmusic416 ปีที่แล้ว

      So when you’re in the aux channel and you go into the eq settings for the channel the acoustic guitar is on, that isn’t setting the eq for the acoustic in the wedge?
