Point Reyes National Seashore is Birdwatching Paradise
My wife and I explored along the California Coastline hitting 3 National Parks and a National Seashore. Point Reyes was a must stop due to the incredible coastline landscapes and the BIRDS! 490 birds have been identified at this place which makes it the most of any in the National Park System. We saw 22 birds on our half day adventure but would have seen many more if we would have checked out the forest habitat or timed it right to see the migratory shorebirds. The Tule Elk were cool but the elephant seals took the show. They funny snorkel noises they would make really was unique. I hope you enjoy your time at this incredible location. I challenge you to see if you can identify more birds than we did.
