Yeah it's true that figma nowadays, just like many other action figure brands, have become way overpriced and sure some of them do make you feel like you're getting what you paid for like the latest link but then it makes you wonder, why figures like Femto or Gilgamesh are so expensive when they seem to have the same amount of crap in the box... and that without mentioning all the other figma which come with bare bones like saitama and deku and cost about as much as something like the attack on titan figmas or the SAO ones which at least used to include effect parts, (the deku thing was ridiculous for that prize point he should've included a bucket and some tissues so we could cry to our hearts content after taking a look at all those flashy accessories he came with) now we're actually getting less for more and it really sucks to have to be like "pass" on something that you really like just so you can eat another day and crap like that

I would agree on the pricing hike complaint, back then figma's were cheap as 2000YEN for a new released figma. Now When I see a standard figma that cost 7000-9000 Yen price point....seriously GSC is too greedy at this....Even MAX FACTORY make's alternative faceplate EXCLUSIVE to the GSC stores which is even more expensive in than HLJ, Hobby search and Amiami, their cheaper with discounts but no extras from the GSC website. Also MAX FACTORY is making less and less acessories of what they used to make now
Character licensing, bdget for research (different characters has different quirk that they need to implement on the figure), and on an extent, sometimes the license owner wanted to decide the price themselves, not to mention market demand, selling them in low price is going to drain their stock much quicker than anticipated. This is true for newer figmas that doesn't stand as much like this since they're made on high demand from the base whose been pandered like thousand times.

Yeah, figmas are prohibitively expensive now. The worse seem to be video game tie-in ones; as the Overwatch's Genji and Bloodborne's Hunter are 7,800 jpy and 8,800(!!!) jpy respectively. That's nearly over $90 for the Hunter who comes with just the Saw Blade and Pistol. Genji comes with more stuff, but he's even overpriced as is. Twilight Princess Link DX was cheaper and he nearly comes with every item in the game!
Max factory really is the king of anime figures. Which is why I wish they made dragon ball and Naruto figures rather than sh figuarts. Figuarts are still good but figma is better
Figmas are definitely expensive. I'll still pick one or two up a year but only if I really like the character. That said as nice as Ram is here I'm definitely going to have to pass on her. I never grew as attached to her as I did her sister. I feel like Ram is an accessory to Rem. I really like Rem, but that's not going to happen either. I love Emilia.
Honestly, Rem isn't any better than Emilia in any sense. The Yandere edgy base of pandering bullshit is the only reason why she got so popular in the first place.

Figma's are really expensive but if you ask me are worth it. One of if not my favorite is Caster from Fate/Extra.
