Hey Mario Madness, troll level maker here. Nice video, but I really don't see the point of making it for a few reasons. Hear me out here, as these are just my opinions. If you take offense to this, I'm sorry, I'm just trying to help. 🙂
The troll meta is constantly changing. These would be considered great trolls at one point, but then just "meh" trolls at another. Plus, each troll could be considered a one-and-done case. When it's been done once, it loses its value unless modified in a way to fit the current meta. Even still, it won't get the same reaction.
You aren't showing the setups, rather you're just playing the levels. This helps no-one, as many beginner troll level makers don't know how to make these. Even if you did show said setups, about half of them would be too complicated for them to understand, which is a vital part in troll making. You need to understand what the setup does to put it in the perfect spot so you can get the best reaction possible.
Also, why title this "Trolls to Make"? This is literally encouraging beginner troll makers to attempt to (poorly) directly copy trolls from hard-working troll makers that have spent countless hours coming up with these only for them to be put in a garbage #DGR level all because of this video.
So... yeah. This is what I think of this video and why I don't really see the point of making this. Sorry, just telling you what you should know.
PS: For all you aspiring troll level makers out there, here are some valuable tips:
1) Make *original* trolls, don't steal from the hard-working makers out there.
2) Please don't put kaizo blocks at the edge of pits! It's been overdone, and isn't funny!
3) Get your levels played by Mario Maker troll level Twitch streamers! They'll have some really valuable feedback to give to you, no matter how harsh said feedback is. Remember that they're only trying to help make your troll levels better, not criticize it.
4) Join Mario Maker Discord servers like Carl's! The people there can greatly help you out!
5) Most importantly: read Defender1031's (yes, Austrollian Mates Defender) troll guide thoroughly!

i have a question. how does one come up with a crazy contraption that looks super complicated? do u just have to spend alot of time trying stuff out or is there and website or twitter page for different troll contraption ideas?
@@e47d00 Sometimes we just stumble upon things in the editor, and sometimes we see how we can break the game from glitches we find on Twitter or Discord! Mainly, though, it's the first. 🙂

This should be called “30 trolls that have already been done and I try and take credit for” - you can’t ‘make’ something that’s already been made. That would be theft. Any aspiring troll creators, this video will do nothing to help you. Be creative and original, anyone who is anyone in the troll community can spot stolen trolls/ideas in an instant. 🤦🏼♀️

@@ssnoodles I don't understand this comment of yours, I'll be honest, but stealing trolls is just about never okay. Troll creators like KingBling and Stevo work on their troll levels for hours because they want their trolls to be original. They don't rip off other trolls or take "inspiration" from them. Each troll is a one-and-done situation. It's done once, it loses its value. Even if it's modified a bit, it will just about always be less enjoyable since it's been done already. Trying to prove a point, please try to understand.
i dont think straight up stealing these trolls are okay but i do think people should be allowed to use these trolls for inspiration as in taking the trolls and altering them to make them unique

yes, it would be stealing, but not everyone has the brain power to come up with a new troll. So i really don't see your point here. Mario maker is a Game of making courses and maybe taking inspiration from said levels, not about who's the best and original troll maker.
I made a troll level, and also, I put in some multi coin blocks to distract the player while a spring drops down and blocks the exit, and then they have to run into the sideways thwomp in the previous section.

I'd have to say my award for the best troll of this video goes to time stamp 7:43; suddenly, Bowser. So, how does this one work exactly? I notice at 7:34, something blows up, and then as soon as Mario grabs the key, Bowser charges in guns blazing.
A thing called spawn blocking. The Bowser is overlapped with a hard block, and a squished bomb blows up said block upon getting loaded. When the player goes for the key, the space the block was on is unloaded, and when the player goes back, Bowser now loads in because the hard block is not reloaded due to its property where when destroyed, it won't respawn until you die or start over.

Using these trolls in a level would just be straight up stealing which is never a good thing

@@ssnoodles You don't need to be all "WTF" on Tofu, some people may misunderstand or may have different interpretations of the title. To me, the title is encouraging beginner troll makers to copy these trolls, however as you said, to you, the title is telling people to take inspiration from the seen trolls. I don't think Mario Madness intended for the title to been taken the way it is by most of the troll community, however that's how most of us troll creators view it.

0:10 If you want to know how to make the troll with the munchers here you go:
1. Get any game style
2. Choose castle or forest (night so you have poison)
3. Put the poison/lava higher
4. Put a note block at the bottom of where you want to do it
5. Put a cloud block At the top of where the poison ends
6. Put a muncher/munchers above the note block
My favorite part is the tutorials
This is nice and all, but it would be a lot better and more helpful if you showed a behind the scenes view of how some of the contraptions that are out of sight work. Instead this is just a showcase of mechanics in a couple of different levels. Some things are not so obvious.

Fun fact: these are trolls made by popular troll makers. Using them would be stealing from them, so please don't. Originality is key in making a truly good troll level. The title calling them "trolls to make" is really just encouraging troll theft, whether it's intended or not.
Well said. As much as I want to use these in my troll levels, it's really just right to not. I try to come up with my own trolls, figuring out different setups/while considering how others will react to them. People should do the same.
Sharing is caring. Plus it’s mario levels, saying that your stealing their trolls is stupid. I’ve seen plenty of troll levels with the same trolls. This comment gets a hard dislike from me.
@@classypenguin2827 Sharing is caring, sure, I agree with that statement....as far as a few little trolls here and there from various creators. But not an entire level with hints and details from a specific creator that completely just degrades your own skill in making, you're not even using your own brainpower to create your own troll level. Henceforth, not being able to credit yourself for the troll level, it's not even yours.

Your talking about taking someone else’s level and basically making it yourself, but the whole point of this video is to share some trolls that other level creators can use in there levels, it is not encouraging people to steal other people’s levels which is what I felt the original comment saying, and I thought it was stupid because as I said in my original comment they are plenty of troll levels that use some of the same trolls. So I don’t disagree with you, but I do with the original comment.

I really like the trolls that are shown in the video but I am disappointed that there is no explanation.
I used several setups in this video. I was criticized for being a thief.
@Kai Herman Yes. The creators of troll level are real enthusiasts. They listen to trolls. They notice trolls. They memorize trolls. And they try to be original in their creations. They don't want to reproduce already made trolls, in order to better surprise the player. If we pretend to be a troll level creator and have copied trolls, we are criticized by the community of troll creators.
You people make me sick. It’s not theft it’s Mario levels! Get over yourselves. Plenty of troll levels use multiple of the same troll set ups. I hate seeing comments and reply’s like this.
