Oh wow...this looks really great! I have never heard of it or seen a cart before. I need this! the weirdest thing is, I actually just had a dream about an Atari game that looked almost exactly like this...I just woke up and boom! this video happened to be in my rec. list...I must be in the twilight zone, that is bizarre beyond words, do I have clairvoyance? *Alaert! Alaert!* (jeez, too bad Berserk on 2600 didn't have voice like this to be more like the arcade)
Holy crap! This video brought me back to the early 80’s (prob ‘82 or ‘83) when I found an Atari 2600 under the Xmas tree! Space Invaders, Breakout, Pac Man, Frogger, Donkey Kong, and Pitfall were my faves! I remember at the time thinking how technologically advanced that little box was!
Yes! Although, these days the cartridge has given the box a little help. But this is one of my favorite shooters for the Atari 2600! I wish that I had had this back in the day!!
Yeah, I've done that! The double base kills are very satisfying! I think that flicker in the game is worse when streaming. It's not so bad when playing the actual game.
@@ObsidianContraption Sadly some of the homebrews won't though due to the chips. Majority of all Champ Games will not work and will only with original 2600 hardward. Just how it goes and possibly won't change.
@@ObsidianContraption I think it has something to do with the chips and harmony cart. I'm not a tech person to know the finer details. If you go to say Champ Games website they will list why and what doesn't work. I think (not 100 percent sure here) that due to size of the carts too it won't work with the 2600 plus. Like one of their games called Avalanche works with the 2600 plus but I think that may be it. If Champ Games stuff worked I'd get a plus but I have like 6 games from them so I just use the 2600
You cannot buy the complete in boxed version, but you may be able to send the ROM of the game to Albert at AtariAge and he can put it in a cart for you. For me, the easiest thing to do is to just buy a Harmony cart and add the ROM to the cart yourself.
I like the "kids" setting. I've never seen that before. More video games should have it.
lol. Yes, perfect for me!!!!
The best space shooter on the 2600. I finally got my cart after waiting 11 months from AtarAge's last chance sale.
I can't argue with that! I can play this game for hours! I'm glad that you were able to get it!

Lol... it was meant to me! Retro Bliss was on your radar!! Thanks for watching!

One of my favorite Atari games
Mine too, my friend!
gotta try for a double base kill with rear and forward guns! that base flicker glitching was killer! 💀

The double base kill is awesome!!
This looks awesome! Would love this cart. Does this work on the 2600+?
Unfortunately, it does not. It seems that a lot of games with menus do not work with the 2600+. 😔
@@RetroBlissGaming most games that i have work after doing all of the firmware updates, except Pitfall 2

@@dannynhl9441 could it just be a matter of contacting the team at Atari Age? Is it possible to fix with a firmware update?

Forgive the question if it is dumb, but could you burn this game on a cartridge and play on an actual Atari 2600?

@@RetroBlissGaming It's crazy how good the graphics look. Reminds me more of Intellivision graphics than Atari 2600.
Right!
I think I bought my copy back in 2018 but never took it out of the plastic.
It’s well worth playing, and I recommending breaking open the plastic!
